This wood 30-inch bar stool is a beautiful, black, elegantly designed stool with a charming espresso finish. No matter what you use it for, the curved back and slightly indented seat make this bar stool not only stylish, but also comfortable....more
generally, I have no complaints about the chair itself. It is what the description says it is. However, the instructions on assembly are basically non-existent so use your best guess and it will likely work out. Also, ignore the drilled hole in the seat bottom, it has no purpose!
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Close enough

How accurate was the on site description of the product? Very Accurate
I paid *** per stool, which was a great deal. They aren't perfect and it took a couple tries to get them not to wobble, but I think they are definitely worth ***/stool. The finish isn't perfectly smooth in some places and there are a couple imperfections, but overall, I'm not complaining for the price. If they were more expensive, I probably would have been less satisfied, but they fit my needs.
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? A little more brown than espresso.

If your idea of espresso is a deep brown that can be mistaken as black at a glance do not order these stools. The wood is way more red than brown. The picture provided must be taken in a low light or not of the actual stool at all. Disappointed. My search for all wood espresso finish stools begins again. Praying the return goes well. I didn't assemble the stools. I can't speak to that part. My issue is all about the finish.
This was my third time trying to order barstools here. My first choice were nice yet the bubble wrap they came in had reacted with the finish and left marks on the seat. Sent them back and got another set. Same thing. Switched to these looking for a black barstool. The bold description said they were black yet if you read the fine print it said espresso (which I missed). You could not tell from the picture if they were black or espresso(a very dark brown).
The actual stools are a medium brown. Totally not what I wanted, so I sent them back. I then found some barstools that I purchased locally.
Overstock was very good about how they handled the returns. Only problem I had was schlepping the stools to UPS three times.
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The color was the problem. The description in bold letters said black, yet the fine print said espresso (dark brown) they were actually a medium brown.
Please tell us about the quality of the product. Seemed okay. Wrong color so I sent them back.
How accurate was the on site description of the product? Inaccurate & misleading. The large text said they were black while the fine print said espresso. You could not tell from the photo.
Says it is black but then says is espresso. Is it really black? We are trying to match other crossback stools we have from a company that discontinued them. Thanks!pmiller318 on Nov 9, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
