The cover wasn't as thick as I had hoped, but it does provide extra support. Not as comfortable as I had expected, either, but I guess it's better than nothing.
This mattress pad simply serves the purpose of keeping stains from reaching the mattress. It says it offers extra back support however, ever since I put it on my bed I haven't noticed much of a difference in comfort. Overall good product for the price you're paying, but to really get that added comfort from a mattress pad you have to shell out the $50-$100.
I am very pleased with this product. It fits great on the mattress and is very comfortable to sleep on. I have looked and owned several others that were more expensive and did not fit on the mattress properly.
