The light itself is nice and easy to install, though the screws are tiny so don't drop them! The remote was very cool, but only worked for a couple of days. The light can be dimmed, but if your light is mounted high, as mine is, and the remote doesn't work, you can't adjust the brightness. The battery in the remote is not a standard battery, so won't be easy to replace.

I ordered 2 lights to illuminate side by side pictures. While the lights look identical, they came with 2 different mounting systems (one clip in, one screw in). So I had to figure out 2 different mounts with poor directions. They "leaned" down too far so I had to put in a wood strip to hold them at the right angle for correct illumination. Also the lights are 2 slightly different colors! One is warm toned, the other cool toned. Not what I wanted for side by side pictures. After all the work to mount them however, I didn't have the energy to send them back. The lights do the job, are not obtrusive and the remote control is great--just be prepared to be creative in mounting them.

We have purchased 3 picture lights in the past with always the same problem. Battery wearing out or having access to turning it on/off. This remote feature is the best invention.

It is a great lamp.....EXCEPT I thought it was wireless since it has a remote....I am returning b/c I do not want a cord showing from the bottom of my painting.
