The measurement of the countertop (the part that is not bowed out) from front to back is 18". The measurement of the cabinet from front to back is about 17.25".

The overall dimensions for this item are: 36 inches high x 38 inches wide x 22 inches deep. 38 inches wide is going to cover the entire vanity, not just the vanity top.
