Fills a Space
 from Florida,  Feb 9, 2009

You definitely need a pot to put it in. It's very light. You have to mess with the branches. I am ordering another one to go on the other side of my china cabinet. Not very colorful.

So-So
 from Virginia,  Nov 17, 2008

I was going to get a more expensive, better looking one and now I wish that I did. This is not as full as pictured. Mine arrived with a branch broke off of it. It is too much trouble for me to send it back. I do not recommend this.

Silk Ficus Tree
from Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania,  Apr 11, 2007

I was disappointed with this item when I received it. I ordered a few of them and each one was exactly the same. They are not very full looking but their color is nice. The pot they come in is unattractive but you can place it in another pot to compensate. When you take a few of these trees and place them together in the same pot, they make a lovely fuller looking tree that can really add to your decor. The picture of the tree displayed is nicer looking than the product itself. I probably would not recommend this product because of these reasons. Although I did not return them, I did find it easier to just combine them all into one large pot together to solve the issue. I was still disappointed that I had to do that. The cost was fair alothough for the money, I was expecting more than what I received.

Overall, this is a ficus to complement any room in the house. Be patient upon receipt as you do have to take some time to form/mold the tree to desired fullness and a few of the leaves/branches may come off - its not a big deal and they slip back on quite easily. This isn't uncommon so just know it up-front. Overall, I would highly recommend this tree for the money.

Nice tree!
from Albuquerque, NM,  Jul 13, 2013

Plant is nicely constructed. However, the plant was not balanced properly in the pot and leaned. I removed the plant from the original pot and put it in a new larger one. I packed it with dirt so that the plant would stand straight rather than lean. I arranged the limbs and small stems and it looks great.

  • How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Same.
  • Please tell us about the quality of the product. Plant is nicely constructed.
  • How accurate was the on site description of the product? Very acurate.

more like a bush than a tree
from Lancaster, PA,  Mar 8, 2011

Nice tree but unlike other ficus trees on sale at Overstock, it is more like a bush in terms of its base and trunk, the latter being very thin and not like the other ficus trunks, which appear to be wood like. Pot very small. Leaves and branches securely attached. I gave this to Habitat of Humanity because it was the first faux tree I bought and did not fit my needs. But overall, if you want something small, attractive, and with nice leaves, and somewhat understated, then this will work for you. I just ordered the other four foot ficus and believe it will look more tree like.

Just a couple of tips
 from Delaware,  Apr 11, 2007

You'll need to arrange/space the branches and leaves to get a more natural look. The base is just a thing plastic pot, so you'll likely need some type of base to put this thing in or it'll tip over. Otherwise, it looks good.
