Really enjoy these chairs. The price was decent, they were easy to assemble, nice & sturdy without being heavy, cushy seats, and they coordinate well with my Hammary living room tables & Danish modern. I would have rated them 5 stars if the wood had been finished a little finer, but for the price they certainly rate 4 stars--I'm happy~
I was hesitant about getting chairs that I had never sat on. I had to trust the descriptions and other people's opinions, and I am so glad I did. These are a great match for my old fashioned ball and claw round oak dining table, right down to the color of the wood. These chairs are comfortable and much sturdier than I thought they would be even as I was putting them together, which after the first one, a breeze. I did not need any help, but I did use a power screw driver. Good choice!
At first I was a bit intimidated by a flat rectangular box. After pulling out all of the parts, I looked at the picture and started to assemble. Don't expect detailed directions but rather it is just a picture with a few indicators where and how the parts should be assembled. My suggestion is to match parts together before assembly to be sure you have them in the right position. I was able to put the chairs together without any assistance. Do not tighten the parts together completely until you have the entire chair assembled. I am totally pleased with the chars and they look perfect with my recycled table top.
