This is a quality build, lightweight and portable table top grill. I like that it accommodates a large propane tank for home use, and has an adaptor available for the small propane tanks for use when traveling. It heats up in just a couple of minutes with a quick start dial and gets very hot with both sides of the grill on. For lower temperatures, just use one burner and put fish, for example, on the non lighted side.

I bought 2 for my father-in-law for Father's Day and he hasn't stopped finding reasons to use them since. He absolutely loves them. The reason we got two was so he could have the surface space to scramble eggs on one and fry bacon on the other. The models with side by side burners are too close together and if one unit burns out, you'd be stuck with a large appliance that only works on one side. He loves the temperature control and auto shut off safety feature

I had been wanting a cast iron griddle, so when I had a gift certificate to spend, I chose this one. I don't use it daiy, but it has performed fine so far. I I have grilled chicken on the grill side, and pancakes on the griddle side. This a very large and heavy griddle. It takes up the full depth of the oven where I store it. It is very heavy so it is a challenge lifting it up on to the stove top. It is much larger than a single burner on the stove, and I use on my larger one in the center. You do have to be sure to season and heat properly as cast iron requires. But it does have a tendency toward hot spots.

Only used a couple times so can't really comment on the durability of the cooktop, but so far it has performed well. Controls are pretty straight forward. Cooling fan does make some noise but not terrible. Sounds similar to bacon sizzling or water boiling, no biggie. Main complaint is the feet are not adjustable. We have an older house and the counter tops are not perfectly flat and level. Vibrations from the cooling fan cause the pot to slide off the center of the cooktop if you don't have it sitting on a perfectly level surface. This could be dangerous because the pot / pan could slide completely off the cooktop if left unattended. I cured this problem by putting a thin piece of cardboard under the legs on the low side to keep the pan centered. It would be better however if Sunpentown had addressed this issue by having legs that screw in and out so you can adjust the level of the unit. Other than that the machine works well. Boils 16oz of water for coffee by the time you can get the cream and sugar ready. Very fast and efficient. I think you will like this cooktop if you have nice level countertops. If not you might want to find one that has adjustable legs.

I was skeptical when I first opened this because the flat surface felt too rough to work with pancakes. However, I really liked the grill side so decided to keep it. It took the seasoning with just two applications (for those who understand how to properly prepare cast iron). It is very heavy and will last a lifetime if taken care of. So far I've used it on a coil burner electric stove and the Nuwave induction cook plate successfully and pancakes flipped just fine. Because of its larger diameter, it didn't heat evenly all the way to the edges, but it will be great on the charcoal grill or for campfire cooking where the whole surface can heat evenly. Looking forward to trying it out there. One more great piece of cast iron cookware for my collection.

I love this product. The left side is low heat for simmering, etc. and the right side is for actually cooking and boiling. Am very happy with the length, width and weight. Not too big and light.

I really love this color, I have a black stove so the black details of the kettle look nice along with the copper finish which looks exactly like the picture and is very striking and smooth. It's a full size kettle and I like smaller but didn't pay attention to the description. It completely covers a large burner but the bottom has a solid portion which is small burner size then has like a mote cut around it where the sides come down so it seems like it could be used on a small burner. The whistle wasn't overly annoying even though I prefer no whistle. I have it on my stove mostly for decor.

Fun way to cook, and a beautiful kitchen decoration when not in use. I've used it twice now, and the food is delicious. It did get a big crack in one corner, but doesn't seem to affect the stone's use. I haven't used it for "cold" food prep as yet. The side used for cooking becomes discolored, but the side facing the burner looks like new and is very pretty. It is NOT for "fast food" preparation though....needs 30 minutes to warm up....so relax, have a glass of wine and enjoy the cooking experience :D

I absolutely love the color. It is a cobalt blue but also goes well with navy blue. Some people said it looks somewhat purple, but I don't see that. The color of the handle is a lighter shade than the bottom. Don't use a large burner on high or it will take off the matte finish on the bottom and a little up the sides. According to the directions, you have to empty the water out and dry it after use.

This is a great addition to my camp. I have used it several times now and found that it fits quite nicely on my CampChef 60K BTU dual burner outdoor stove. Cooking for large parties is something I do on a regular basis, and have found it behaves like my other cast iron cookware. It took only 2 veggie oil temperings to get the surfaces conditioned to a usable level. This is no lightweight cooking surface. At over 40 LBS, some may find that it's too heavy to handle. The grease traps built in on either side are more than adequate- I fried 4 Lbs of bacon at one time on the flat side and still had room to spare for additional grease when done.

I picked this pot up for brewing 5 gallon batches of beer and it does the job well. 6.5 gallons of wort on a rolling boil will stay in nicely. The bottom is 3 or 4 times thicker than the sides and that gives a lot of assurance against scorching things on the bottom of this heavyweight pot. Take note of the measurements: it is wider than it is tall, so unless you have some good sized burners or propane burner you are actually heating a fairly small portion of the bottom of the pot.

So handy, I picked up another one. A terrific little appliance to handle the overage of pots and pans when cooking for weekend parties. I have 2 stove tops (a conventional gas range and a convection countertop on my kitchen island) which never seem enough when I have to entertain. BTW, these are great out on the patio too should you want to cook something along side your grilling area without having to muss up your kitchen for side dishes. So far I've used all manner of pots and pans on these and haven't had any problems. Warm quickly. Like I said above - handy... and a bargain for the Overstock price.

This dish is perfect for smaller portion servings - 8 oz = 1 cup. It really holds up to 10 oz when filled to the rim, but you wouldn't want to normally do that. The only issue I had was stacking them. They don't fit together nicely, which can be an issue deepening on how many you stack.

Replaced one that was 10 years old, the cost was good compared with 10 years ago, but it was much lighter weight and the screen in the middle is very flimsy. It is ok for small fires but not big burning fires because I burned branches from the trees in my yard and the screen now has a wavy appearance on the side where the fire was the hottest

We just received this induction cooktop yesterday and started testing it . It works very well with cast iron , porcelain covered cast iron and lifetime tripple bottom stainless steel cookware that has a magnetic layer not visible to the eye. The sides & covers are non magnetic. This cookware is sixty plus years old. The cooktop is truely a bigtime energy saver . The heating element is the bottom of the cookware therefor making it extremely efficient. You can not go wrong with this unit !

As far as the "refurbished" part, could not tell it wasn't brand new to begin with so that was good. However, the interior of this oven is really too small for our cooking/liking. If you turn the one rack opposite side up that takes the bottom rack up a little from being so close to bottom burner elements. Yet, it still leaves the food pretty close to top burners so we have had a lot of items burned during the "learning-to-use" phase. If I could do over, would have ordered a toaster oven broiler with larger interior capacity. This is NOT large enough to even cook a small pizza. It does make good toast however and will warm small portioned entrees. The knob for temperature adjustment is very loose and not sure if it is actually setting to temperature. Again, because of the small interior, you have to be very careful with broiling (low temp setting and WATCH it) as things can burn in just 3 to 5 minutes depending on how close they are to top burning elements.

Good basic cookware set. However, the tulip shape means that the bottoms of the pots do not completely cover a small electric burner--wasted energy here. There is no 3 quart pot in this set. There is a 3 quart high-sided skillet. However I prefer a pot when I cook soup/stews. There do not appear to be any open stock items which can be added to this set--not even on the manufacturers website.

This hood didn't paid my expectations, thought my wife is somewhat satisfied. If not high cost of replacement I would go take my chances again and replace it. Major problem is that hood IS NOT SYMMETRICAL and this fact is not reflected in description. I discovered it only when I got it, but made a mistake and decided to install instead of simply returning it. Motor and turbine is on the LEFT side. Right side has pretty much no suction. So if your range has biggest burner on the right you are out of luck. Also, I've expected that rated at 460 CFM suction would be much better. Hood is somewhat quieter than other I have seen. That said, it makes pretty loud sound when turning it on and reaches its maximum level on the second speed, then level stays pretty much the same. Controls are not very intuitive and do not glow in the dark, making them difficult to find. I like delay feature, but rest of them are pretty much gimmick. I was unable to make Heat Sentry to kick in. Light is great. Filters are easy to remove for cleaning. Surface quality is OK. Installer told me that it was easy to install. Overall hood does its work; probably my expectations were too high. I do not know why one should pay multiple hundreds of dollars to get better performance. It is not rocket science to make them, so I expected way better results. May be it is just me, but I will hesitate to recommend it to friends.

i and love it. It works great and having seperate controls for each side allows me to control it better. The wide base seems very sturdy to me and the stainless is easy to clean. I use it when i have company and what to keep pots warm. THANKS Overstock again
