These are great for our dining room and are quite comfortable and have a sleek look. Be advised that everyday use will require some tightening of nuts and bolts, but they are easy to clean if your little ones make a mess. I would not advise them for extremely obese folks as they could cave in since the center of the seat is not supported by wood. The assembly on these was very tedious, but worth it because of the price as long as you have the tools and the patience.
I bought these to replace the existing chairs in my dining area. In reading the previous reviews I understood that some of the chairs were wobbly. It stood true for mine as well. With that aside, they look beautiful, when you sit in the chair there is no wobble at all and they were the perfect compliment to my existing table. I have always been happy with my purchases from Overstock and will continue to look to them first when purchasing anything I may need for my home.
The chairs are great! They were very easy to put together and took a little adjustment to get them leveled. They are very comfy and my family is really liking them. I think I will need to adjust and tighten them occasionally but for the price they are great! I spent a lot of time researching this type of chair and most are easily over $140 per chair. So these are a great value. I am hopeful that they will last.
This item was sold at a great price compared to similar items. Compared to top dollar chairs these chairs were smaller and not as sturdy. In short they are big enough and sturdy enough for our needs... but I do worry a little bit how they will hold up long term.
After discounts, I bought this set at under $70 a chair. Comparable chairs in local stores were $250! They're really elegant looking and very easy to clean and maintain. They were also fairly simple to assemble--takes like 10 screws per chair I think. My hubby and I each did 1 or 2 a night while watching TV and they were done in no time. I take pride in knowing they're real leather and not vinyl, but honestly I don't know if you can tell that by looking. Also the staples in the undersides aren't covered but who cares. My only problem with them is that they wobble a little when empty. It's not a big deal b/c when you sit in them there's no wobble, but a few of them wobble pretty bad empty. I'm going to use felt pads to try to even stop this. If I'd paid a lot for them, I'd be unhappy with the wobbly ones. But considering the price, I think they're a wonderful buy. I just tuck the 2 worst wobbly ones into the least used side of my table and nobody ever notices. I have a gorgeous, sophisticated, contemporary dining room and I paid about 1/4 of what I should have! :)
