I very pleased with this purchase. The rack fits nicely by the space to the left of my fridge and gives me some much needed kitchen shelve space. The rack is very sturdy and attractive for display. The assembly went well, using only the wench that was provided but I did have my 12 son assisting me. One of the shelves had a slight ding in the rack part which prevented it from laying totally flat but this issue is really only minor and unnoticeable.

This rack arrived very quickly and is very high quality. Even the wooden shelf was surprisingly high quality. I'm a senior, so it took me a llittle longer to assemble than most people. The instructions were a little vague, but it all fit perfectly. I had no problems at all. I use this rack for a plant shelf, book shelf, and for storing dog toys.

This item arrived with manufacturer defects, not to mention missing parts. My husband was able to gather enough hardware to assemble, however there were areas where the wire shelves were not welded together and they were too short to repair. This item went back in the box and was returned. Not a good purchase for me.

These shelves are very nice. Wasn't too difficult to put together. Great for additional storage especially in a small space.

I needed something for my bathroom, which is small, that can hold some towels and have a little style. This shelf was good for those needs. It is a small product, the baskets hold only two towels in each, but it fits nicely in my small bathroom. It was very easy to put together as well, and looks nice.

It is a good product. I had to pound one of shelves to make it fit. And the smaller shelf I was able to get all but one prong in the slot. Other than that it goes well with my kitchen - it does stand out. I was frustrated when I couldn't get the shelves in, but now that it is finished it looks great.

I bought two of these shelves and happy that I did! One will go on my balcony and one in my kitchen. They are sturdy and easy to assemble - assembled by myself (65 year old woman).

I bought this shelving and basket unit to put in my kitchen and replace the existing plastic drawer units. I had been looking for several months to find something that would fit the space I wanted it in and be what I needed. Initially, I was looking for a buffet style piece, but I couldn't find anything that was small enough and cheap enough. I was cruising around on overstock and I came across this unit. It looked kinda like what I wanted, so I measured my space and it would fit perfectly where I wanted it. I bought it. When it came in a few days later (very quick shipping, btw), I did have to do the assembly, but it came with detailed directions and all the tools necessary. It was pretty easy to put together. My only complaint is that on the top wood piece I had to re-drill the holes to screw it on because the holes that were there weren't in the right spot and I turned it every way possible. The baskets are sturdy and holding up to two kids and two dogs. I have gotten several compliments on it.

Easy to put together. It is nice looking and seems very sturdy, not wobbly at all. The baskets fit all of my dvds nicely or could accommodate items up to 10" high. They are wire shelves that the baskets slide into and out of easily. The next shelf fits things 12" high and the shelf above that just under 8" high. The top two shelves are wire, not a solid shelf so keep that in mind for your planned use.

I am using this baker's rack to grow orchids. It is sturdy and is holding up well in a somewhat humid environment. It cleans easily and looks good in my garden room. Putting it together was a piece of cake, no problems.

It's very cute. I bought it to keep my daughter's snacks and other nibbles, so it fits our needs ok. The only surprise was the side areas. I thought they would be wider and I could display serving bowls and dishes, but it's not going to happen. It fits small narrow books, pie tins and small flower pots. Oh well, it still looks very nice.

So I built a studio apartment in my parents' basement, and I needed a surface for my cappuccino maker: something sturdy, attractive, and multi-purpose. Baker's racks seemed to be the thing, so I did a lot of searching and researching reviews. The only thing I didn't like about this one was the wine rack - I might collect wine someday, but today is not that day. When one reviewer said the item could be assembled without the wine rack, I knew this was the one I wanted! It was so simple to put together, came with all the pieces in good shape and packed well. Installed, it is attractive and functional with plenty of room for my Cuisinart EM-100 and antique hand grinder. The hooks and removable top shelves hold my cups, and the wire shelves below double as structural support and storage space. Everyone who visits my space comments on how good it looks. Although the "wood" shelf is really particle board, it has withstood water and hot steam like a champ! If you're considering buying this, stop considering and buy it.

After reading other's comments I was a little apprehensive about putting this unit together, and I have put a whole kitchen together. All in all it went together in a snap, about 30 min. The box was delivered to my front door and looked like it had fallen of of the container ship. Once opened and all parts accounted for there was only one metal shelf that was tweaked. My husband powered it into shape, and all items fit together well. The only issue I have is with the wooden shelf, it came warped. After screwing it into place I hope it will settle into shape. I can't wait to stock it with my quilting stash!

This is a very handsome baker's rack that (as others commented) is smaller in person than it appears in the photo -- just what I needed for my small kitchen. I really appreciated the exact measurements in the picture. The largest wooden shelf just fits my large microwave. It seems sturdy. It has a nice antique look to the metal. It would make a great decorative shelf anywhere in the home. I'm not very handy (I'm a city girl) but I was able to put it together by myself within a couple of hours. The instructions were very clear and well labeled. You will need your own screwdriver for the screws. It was well packaged and came without any damage or missing parts. Negatives: as others have commented, one of the wood shelves does not have the pre-drilled holes in the right place for the screws. I also wasn't able to get one of the baskets to come together as the screw/bolt for it would not pass through the pre-formed hole. I took off a star for these reasons. I wish the wood were a lighter color to match my kitchen cabinets. But the color of the wood seems nice

Below is a list of suggestions on how to decorate book shelves.
No matter what you have to display or store, shelves are a valuable part of just about any room in your home. Although they are most popular as office furnishings, shelves can be used throughout your home for a number of different things. Instead of just holing up in your home office, why not use shelves in some of your other rooms? Besides organization, shelves make great display pieces. Depending on what type of material you prefer, you can find shelving to match just about any decor imaginable. If you are considering shelves, here are some great ideas on how you can share shelves with the rest of your house.
It's not unusual for bookshelves to incorporate multiple materials for different features. If you haven't decided on wood, wood products, metal or glass bookshelves, look at their relative strengths and weaknesses. Look below to learn the best bookshelf materials. Wood: "Solid wood" is a common term for furniture made from lumber planks. Beware of making assumptions based on labels like "hardwood" and "softwood." Hardwoods are derived from deciduous trees and softwoods from coniferous trees; the terms don't connote their relative strengths. Balsa is a hardwood even though it is very soft, just as Douglas fir is a softwood even though it is very hard. They all make excellent, classic stock material for bookcases. Generally, harder woods are the heavier and more resistant to scratches. Still, softer woods, if treated correctly, will keep just as well as harder woods. Plywood: Made by stacking thin sheets -- "plies" -- of lumber and gluing them under pressure, plywood features grains that alternate direction for strength. Several grades are available, of differing cost. Top and bottom plies can be high-quality woods to create the appearance of fine woods, but edge veneer or molding is needed to complete the illusion. Particleboard: Wood chips glued together carry a much lower price tag than solid wood, and particleboard is denser and more uniform. It's a great choice when cost is the primary consideration. Bookshelves crafted from veneered composite boards can look and feel as good as real wood. MDF: Wood fibers, tiny chips and sawdust collected and glued into sheets form medium-density fiberboard (MDF). Low-cost MDF makes an excellent base for veneers; plus, its strength is consistent and it shapes well. Metal: There's a reason most library bookshelves are made from metal: Metal bookcases are resistant to moisture and fungus, their low-friction shelves are easier on books' bindings and metal's strength-to-weight ratio can't be beat. Their cost usually comes in below any other material. Glass: Glass bookshelves weigh more than other types, but if you plan on assembling your bookshelves only once, the style points can be well worth it. Tempered glass shelves (in wood or metal uprights, called "standards") give your home an unbeatable contemporary feel, and glass bookcases' smooth, transparent surfaces add brilliant levity to a decorating piece that might otherwise be notably opaque and heavy.
