Sheila Golden grew up in NY State. She attended the School of Visual Arts and the New School of Social Research in NYC, where she then worked in the field of graphic design and illustration. After a move to California, she studied film animation, lithography and ceramics, where she received her Bachelor's Degree in Fine Art. While living in CA Sheila became an important member of Artrails Open Studios and a guest artist in various schools teaching classes on watercolor collage. In 1996 Sheila was chosen as an artist-in-residence at the well-regarded Buena Vista Winery in Sonoma, CA.
Sheila Golden has combined her multiple skills and talents to translate her love of nature into painting and collage. Her artwork is strongly influenced by the masters; Matisse, Chagall and Kandinsky, along with the great Abstract Expressionists. Sheila's commercial resume to name a few includes background art for Sesame Street, KQED Television, Hallmark, American Greetings and Sunrise Cards. Sheila Golden's work is available in children's books, posters, prints, greeting cards, and gift products. Her original watercolors and watercolor collages are exhibited in numerous juried art shows around the country and her work is represented in private as well as corporate collections in major cities like New York, Chicago, Washington D.C., San Francisco, Hong Kong, Italy and Germany.

Very Nice
This picture is a very nice addition to any decor. The colors are very vibrant and the picture is definitely an eye catcher. I purchased it for my powder room which is small and only had one wall that could hold a picture. It is very striking when you open the door and see it on the wall as you enter the room. I am very pleased with it overall. The colors online are very close to the actual canvas.
