This sweeper is the perfect tool for light cleaning. It is light in weight and performs well for those light, quick cleanups. I was searching for a sweeper and picked this one because the price was right and the reviews were acceptable. I am 61 and needed something easier to push and pull for everyday cleaning. Unfortunately the handle snapped off at the base within 6 months of use, which broke my heart. We tried gluing it back, but that was hopeless and I was determined to continue to use it. We screwed a little plate connecting the handle to the base and it is now working, but I have to baby it. I would buy another, but my budget does not allow at this time. Finally, a product that actually works! Thank you Sharp!

  • handle broke at base within 2 weeks?!

    We had the previous version of this sweeper and used it at least once a day for 4 years. The new design with the squeegie (sp?) vs. spinning brush for edges was totally ineffective; however, the BIG ISSUE is that after just 2 weeks the handle broke clean off at the base of the dust trap. I will be returning. Don't know if I received a bad apple or if the quality has gone way down. Really bummed as this was a super convenient, light weight "dog-replacement" around the kitchen/nook.
