Bought my first shark steam mop 2 years ago and a couple of weeks ago I was mopping with it and it just shut off. Now I can't get it to come back on, the blue indicator light will not even come on. I have plugged it in to multiple outlets and still nothing. Any suggestions?
I use this all the time and have ordered replacement covers and it is simply one of the greatest things to mop up tile as well as wood floors. I highly recommend it.

Wonderfully easy to use I had been using the Swifer Wet Jet. It was expensive with all the refills needed. This steam machine is great and easy to use. It is recommended that you use distilled water. I am doing this and it is inexpensive and a gallon lasts a long time. All in all the steam cleaner is much cheaper to use and does a better job with half the effort

Great cleaning steam mop It is easy to assemble and easy to use -- heats up quickly - I use it several times a week on my laminate floors to get rid of foot prints and smudges and in the bath rooms too!. Hello DARLENE W., I personally own this item myself. I had this same issue at tone time. My water tank wasn't properly filled. Once I added the correct amount of water to it, the mop worked like a charm. Make sure you don’t use the mop without attaching a micro-fiber pocket and adding water to the tank first. I have all hardwood floors and tile in the new house I just moved into. I love steam mops and knew I needed to buy one right away if I'm going to keep the house clean. Plus with pets I don't like using a lot of chemicals. This was a great alternative while still sanitizin.

There is another, less expensive model featured. It looks almost the same, but the description says you need to pump the handle. Do you "pump" the handle on this mode?

Hello, yes, this Shark Steamer has a steam on demand feature that releases steam with a push-forward motion of mopping. You will need to pump the handle to release the steam. Can this steam cleaner be used on laminate floors?

Hi mleaw, the steam mop is designed to clean hard floor surfaces that will withstand high heat. Do not use on unsealed wood or unglazed ceramic floors. On surfaces that have been treated with wax or some no wax floors, the sheen may be removed by the heat and steam action.
