Very nice shade, easy to put up. The shade came with an attached valence and all hardware, including a tie-down cleat for the extra length cording. NOTE: It also came with 2, what appear to be chrome shower curtain hooks, and instructions for removing the cord and converting the curtain into a sort of roman shade. It's a safety precaution if you are using the shade in a child's room or anywhere a child might have access to the cord. I'm using my shade in front of the window casing, over a venetian blind which is inset within the frame. It blends beautifully with my tropical decor guest room, but would NOT be an adequate window covering for privacy or to block a lot of light.

My daughter purchased these shades in several different sizes and they all look great. My son-in-law put them up and trimmed them without any trouble. Unfortunately, if you want something for privacy, you won't get any at all with these. I am thinking of a way to line them with a lightweight material that won't interfere with the mechanics of the shade so they can have a little protection from the cold and anyone going by.
