Story Behind the Art:
In China artisans take great pride in handcrafting these items. Some of the pieces are made in a workshop which helps to provide hundreds of jobs in the community where it is located, where work is very difficult to find. However, many of our items are handcrafted in small villages or towns, which helps to provide for families without going to a large city. Most of the artists live very simple lives and have been doing this type of work for many decades. It gives them much satisfaction knowing they are helping to preserve many dying arts.
