Set of 2 Biedermier Side Chairs

Unfortunately I needed to send these back since the picture was shown in Walnut (a dark brown) and the chairs were actually Dark Mahogany (a reddish almost purplish color), Look online and you may be able to see the difference, but there are lots of versions out there. The chair pads are a black vinyl and had a few creases at the back of the chairs where they turned over the edge - not a huge deal but worth mentioning. I think these would be very easy to recover, but they came totally assembled so didn't need to do anything with - very nice. Return S&H would have been about *** (for 3 boxes of 2 chairs each) if I wouldn't have discussed the color issue prior to them arriving and called customer service - so if you're not happy be sure to call. Online chat wasn't all that helpful so I would recommend calling. I did have their warehouse even verify that the matching barstools aren't the same color - sold and shown in Walnut. These are heavy duty chairs and seemed very sturdy and comfortable. There is a small angle that secures the bottom rail to the legs, which was a bit weird, but not all that noticeable from above. I purchased them to go with a very detailed Old World ART table that the chairs were far too large to fit in my kitchen. These were a nice size and didn't feel tiny even though they are smaller than most. Style wise would go with old or new/modern. Overstock definately seems to have the BEST price on these, since I researched and found for about double the price to get in Walnut and unfortunately they don't stock Walnut. Looks like these are possibly not being made anymore, so be sure you get what you need. Currently ordering another set (Venezia) and I hope those work out (completely diff color tone), but this is a nice chair especially for the great price!
