I got 6 chairs for my new home. The picture looks lighter than the real chair, but it is the beige color match so well with my table, very warm and welcoming. The cushion is firm and supportive, you can tell it is a brand new cushion material which not a recycle fill-in. It feels very comfortable for a 2-3 hours dinner, not too hard, not too soft. The detail better than what I thought because the previous reviews. I was surprises the nailhead trim is hand nailed one by one, it is very costly, time consuming and looks much better than the machine pre-make trim. Overall, this is not the best quality chair if compare with those $1000+ high end chair. But for this price, it is a very good bargain and worth for a 5 star review!
*I'd recommend these to a friend with the following caveats: I bought 10 of these chairs to go around a ridiculously expensive dining table. These chairs look great - from a distance. Up close, you can see they are $100 chairs. The cord trim on the back side of the chair does not cover the staples or cut edge of the upholstery fabric underneath. The fabric on some chairs puckers at the nail-head trim. The fabric on the seat is too loose and puckers (can't think of a better word right now) when attached to the seat back. One last thing that is really weird... When you grab onto the back of the chair to push the chair in or pull it out, it sounds as if the filling is plastic wrap - it makes a plastic-y crunching sound. On a good note - the nail head trim is even and straight, and the wood finish is consistent. They are pretty comfortable and seem sturdy. Assembly is not difficulty, but it took longer than I expected to screw in 9 bolts per chair. One suggestion - BEFORE putting the pieces together, do a "dry run" and screw the bolts into the holes. This kind of primes the holes and made it easier to set the bolts when assembling the pieces. I hope that makes sense! So with all of that, you are probably wondering, am I keeping the chairs? Yes. Why? Because they DO look nice from across the room, and when someone spills on them or I get tired of them, I can replace them without feeling guilty or breaking the bank!
Sad to say, this was a rare BAD purchase, but Overstock quickly remedied the situation which is why I always come back! We ordered 3 sets as side chairs for our dining table (in hindsight I wish we started with 1 set since there were no other reviews), they arrived in just a few days which was great, but right away we found the color is way off from the picture and description. The style is very pretty, but these chairs are a dark TAN, at first I thought they were the wrong chairs. They are also light as a feather and felt as if they would break any second. And, the nailheads are misaligned in places. But, the WORST part is is they make a crunching sound (like crinkling paper/plastic) when you sit or even touch the back (no joke!). Instead of foam, the back of the chair must be stuffed with some kind of plastic - there's no way I could have people over to sit in these chairs. When I called Overstock, they were so apologetic and are arranging to have them returned/credited back right away with no argument. Bad chairs, but awesome customer service!
