I ordered this item to have as a set for my breakfast buffet. I like the porcelian handle. The bottom is a little of, and to me that adds character, as I like to serve rustic style breakfast. For the money this was a great purchase, and I ordered the other items to match. This is perfect for everyday, and will last a long time because of the sturdiness of the steel and the handle.

I recently purchased this knife for a dear friend whose white handled cake knife, that she used frequently, had broken. When the knife arrived, I was pleasantly surprised by its quality and durability. I liked the look and feel of the knife so much, I purchased one for myself. With the recent holidays, I have used it frequently and received many compliments on the knife.

I reall like this serving knife. I'm not sure about the durability. Time will tell.
