I were a bit skeptical to buy this topper as I know like all of you out there, a good night sleep is priceless... was just thinking of getting rid of my mattress which is still in mid condition and got one of those Tempur Medic mattress instead...Last minutes, I have decided to try this one out first...... oh my Gosh, it was so very comfortable..& .how good was it???? I almost missed work this morning and it is just not so me to do that... My advice, spend monies to buy this first if you are thinking about replacing your mattress... it is really really Great for a fraction of what could cost you..and it is made by Serta...can't go wrong with that.. Please note of one thing, the instruction of how to open this topper was packed in the bottom of the box, so I tried to manually rolled the topper opened and Opps, it was a mistake...I did open it, but it took a lot of of me to do so.... Please do not attempt to do that, just open the topper from its wrapper and let it sit on the floor for at leasat 24hour to air out the smell, but also make it easier to roll it open later. One happy and repeat customer...

It is wonderfully comfortable. The directions were followed, the smell went away, and it unfolded perfectly. It is much heavier than I anticipated, and I'm sure it will hold up for many years. I felt the price was fair and the shipping for Overstock is always amazing. Thanks.

This is sooooo comfortable! We used to wake up with back aches. My back would pop sometimes when I'd turn over during the night. With this topper... no more problems! We hate to sleep anywhere else except our own bed. LOVE IT!!! We bought one for our son and wife and they love it too!!!We love shopping at Overstock.com. Can't beat the shipping charges either!!

All these toppers were the same price, regardless of size. I bought a king and cut it in half for 2 very very very comfortable twin beds. I am overweight and this still can take the pressure off my arthritic hips. I sleep well on it.

This memory foam topper was even better than expected. Delivery time was prompt. The odor vanished within two days. I love the comfort of this topper. Now I look forward to going to bed. I am spreading the work. My friend already bought one. I will be ordering for my mother and daughter. That tells a lot.

I love the 4 inch memory foam mattress topper from Serta. It is soft and comfortable. As a side sleeper, I have previously at times had pain in my hips. I haven't noticed any lately and have slept very well. Only problem is that I don't want to get up in the morning!! We received the mattress topper in just a few days after we ordered it. I am very happy with it!

bought one of these years ago, husband didn't like it then. I put it on guest bed, all who visit love it. He had knee replacement and slept on guest bed for the leg support, he fell in love with it. He was given great support for the recouperating knee. So I bought this for our bed so he is out of the guest bed. When I moved the first one I bought from a king to queen size I had to cut it down. I saved the pieces. He now uses one of the pieces to support his leg when sitting in his recliner while still in rehab for knee surgery.

I have a california king in good shape but gave me horrible shoulder and lower back pain and i would always wake up on stomach and unrested !! After buying the 4'' serta memory foam and pillows , the first nite of sleep was great , no shoulder or back pain plus i woke up on my back with my head nessled deep into form fitting pillow .... Also, everytime i cant find my dog its because hes nessled in the bed , i accually have to close my door to keep him out during the day !!!

We were seriously considering replacing our Sleep Number bed that has been less than ideal with a Tempur Pedic bed, but were concerned about the $4000 cost.As a last resort, I looked on Overstock for a temporary solution and ordered the Serta 4" memory foam topper. WOW! - The topper arrived within a couple of days, it was unboxed, unrolled and ready to go in a couple of hours.By night two an absolute delight to sleep on! We are now 3 weeks into a much improved nights sleep, a genuine value! THANKS Overstock.com!!

This mattress is very comfortable and is like sleeping on a marshmallow. The foam retains a lot of my body heat so it will be great for the winter months. I didn't notice any overpowering odor from the foam when I unpacked it so I was able to sleep on it right away. I do wish that the foam was cut a couple inches larger in each direction so that it matches the size of my mattress. Right now it sits a little too short in each direction on top of my bed. Aside from that I would recommend this purchase.

This Serta Memory Foam Topper has caused me to sleep so much better. I no longer wake up with"pressure points". Even the heels of my feet sink into the foam. I certainly recommend this topper to anyone with sleeping problems. The only bad thing I can say about it, it was cut so uneven on one end,but I put that end on the foot of the bed, so that was no problem.

I had never purchased a memory foam before, so I have no previous experience to base my review on.The reason I gave it only 4 stars on Comfort is this: My husband and I sleep on a Queen, we sleep pretty close together. This memory foam is so thick and 'squishy' that we sometimes end up in a 'sink hole' in the middle of the night. When you wake up like this, it's kind of difficult to get out of it and turn over to a new position. We didn't expect this, and at first we thought about using this memory foam for our guest room, and thought about buying another one that's maybe only half as thick for our bed. But, we decided to stick it out for a month. A month has now passed and we have agreed to keep it on our bed. We've both adapted to the change now. That being said, I must say this topper is VERY VERY comfortable! It forms to you in no time and I sometimes feel like I'm almost floating. We've both found we don't toss and turn even half as much as we use to before we got this! I am a back sleeper, but in the past could only tolerate being on my back for a little while (back problems, makes me start hurting) But that's not the case anymore. Sometimes I'll wake up at 3:00 a.m. still on my back, and still comfortable!Also, I used to have a real problem with my arms and legs going to sleep during the night, this hasn't happened even once since we got the topper.And best of all, my husband's snoring has all but stopped now!I would recommend this product!

I did quite a bit of research on memory foam before finally deciding to purchase this one. I felt like Goldilocks, looking for "just right". Well, it paid off and I'm extremely happy because this topper is everything I expected and more. As reference, I'm a female around 105 pounds and my husband is around 190 pounds. If it had been just me I probably could have have gotten away with a 4 pound topper that was just 3 inches in thickness but I wanted to be sure he wouldn't bottom out on it. He never once commented that he felt he was bottoming out on this one. We are both extremely happy with the firmness of this topper and don't feel it's either too mushy or too firm.***Now for the particulars and details: If you're curious just how heavy this product is, shipping weight on the queen topper is 45 pounds. Even so, it wasn't a problem at all for me to get it out of the box, onto the bed and positioned correctly on my own.*We did not notice much odor from this topper at all, and I have a sensitive nose. It arrived in the morning, and we were sleeping on it that same night. My husband noticed a slight smell but it was not as bad as he expected.*They recommend allowing the foam to air out and fully expand over a period of 48-72 hours, but I discovered it appeared mostly expanded after about a half hour and a couple hours later, it was a full 4 inches thick and covered the entire mattress completely. So if you are as eager to try this topper out as I was, you likely won't need to wait the full recommended time.*This is no fault of the topper, but be aware that with the extreme thickness of mattresses these days, adding another 4 inches can make your bed ridiculously high. At some point I will probably remove the box spring and go with just the mattress and this topper.*After I purchased this topper, I noticed Overstock carries one that is three inches thick with a 5 pound density for only a few dollars more. If you prefer a little more firmness, you might consider that one.*Price - I found the quality of this topper to be extremely good. Granted, this is my first topper and I do not have anything to compare it to, but I have researched prices of toppers and for the quality, Overstock's price is more than reasonable.*Warmth - I've noticed this topper does tend to insulate warmth on the bed just slightly. I actually like that since it gives more of a cozy feel, but I wouldn't say it's enough of a difference to be uncomfortable, although others may feel differently.Bottom line, I love this topper and will likely buy another one to use on the guest bed. Great quality and price!

I have been using the product for several weeks now. Wonderful! I am ordering more for all our beds in the house. Other reviewers have had problems with too much heat build up, I have not had this problem at all. Odor upon arrival was very slight. Excellent value!

I had a 2" topper for a number of years. Then purchased the 4" topper which is extremely comfortable. No aches and pains in the morning, I sleep through the night and I am more rested in the morning.

I cant understand why this retains body heat so much. It's comfortable as any thing I've tried. You just have to find a way to separate yourself from direct contact , and a plain sheet won't do. So i used a quilt . I'm still looking for something not as thick as the quilt tho . Good comfort , great value , the body heat thing is a draw back.

I purchased this item to place over a troublsome twin bed and it did not help the problem.I purchased an air matress and threw out the mattress and kept the foundation. I placed the air mattress over the foundation and then the 4 inch foam on top. It worked out. What makes this all the more comfortable is not really the air mattress but the foam matterss. It's a winner! Takes some getting use to, stinks alot when you first get it. Need to let it air out for a long while. Had some holes and nicks in the foam, but no big deal. It's best to purchase a foam cover for it.
