This is our second one - we bought a too hard mattress for home and this saved it - then we had to move temporarily for my husband's job and moved into a very nice furnished apartment - but we were there 4 months when I went home for a visit (slept in our bed @home) and realized just how awful the bed at our temp apt was - bought another one of these and I am sleeping great!! You could put this thing on the floor and sleep great! Didn't smell - unrolled it at 3m and put it on bed at 6pm - slept on it that night. Can't say enough - you won't regret this buy! Even my husband who like firm - loves this - I like soft and it is great for us both.

Purchased this to soften up a too firm guest bed mattress. Well, we are going to have to order another one since we decided we liked it so much that we would use it in the master bedroom. It fits beautifully, did not smell at all like some reviewers have mentioned. It's very heavy so have someoone help you lift it. Great price and great product.One note. I am a freak about neatness. However I have a family of dogs who sleep with us. I noticed the one time that I did not use a mattress cover over the foam, that there was some dust (or dirt! Gross!) that accumulated within a week where my dog sleeps. It seemed like it would be hard to clean but it vaccuumed out nicely. I highly recommend getting a great quality mattress pad - please know it will be a little less squishy, but should extend the life of the foam.That or buy your dog a memory foam bed of their own! I'm sure Overstock probably has them! Very happy with everything I get from them!

I bought this 4" topper as a Christmas gift for my nephew and his wife. She had a 2.5" one prior to their marriage. Now they have a king-size bed, but no topper. A memory foam topper makes all the difference in the world. They are both on their feet all day long, and being able to rest comfortably at night should make both of them a lot less tired at the end of the day. Great bargain!!

Initially, I was very pleased with this product. I awoke in the morning with no aches or pains. But after a few weeks, the body aches reappeared. I don't know if it is the mattress or just me. I guess I will have to use it awhile longer before I am really sure.

The product itself is great but was shipped requiring a signature upon delivery. In other words, I was not allowed to sign a release for them to leave it in my building. UPS only attempted delivery during work hours, so I was never available to sign, and they required me to come pick it up at their facility 3 towns away. I don't own a car, which is why I DO online shopping in the first place. It was a huge hassle attempting to get the package, however, I blame UPS for that, not Overstock.

This purchase was actually 2 twin sized pads for my kids beds which they are getting for xmas so they are still in the boxes but I purchased this same pad in king size for my husband and myself several years ago and we absolutely love it, It is so soft and comfortable. We hate to leave home now because we know we will miss our bed!! It has held up very well over the years and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend to this anyone.

It appears that the foam is 1" of memory on top and 3" regular below that. Seems deceiving to call it 4" memory foam. However, it is very comfortable and works for me. The price was right.

I received the serta mattress topper about a month ago and have never slept better. I have a problem with my lower back and poor circulation in my legs. It has saved me from buying a complete new mattress set. It feels wonderful and my back has not hurt since.

I sent this foam topper to my son who is sleeping on a futon in a small city apartment. He was so happy to finally get a good night sleep-said it made it feel like a "real" bed for the first time. No smell and quick to lay flat. No complaints!!

I bought this 4 in memory foam topper to replace my existing 3 in one that was worn out. First of all, I should have paid better attention to the details because this is not really 4 inches of memory foam. It is 1.5 inches of memory foam attached to a 2.5 inch piece of regular foam which is rather hard. The first thing I noticed was that it is definitely not as soft or comfortable as the one I replaced. My original foam was super comfortable, like sleeping on a cloud. Unfortunately, the foam was breaking apart. This Serta topper is far more comfortable than sleeping on a plain mattress alone, but a lot more firm than if you get a topper that is all memory foam. It is also way too short for my queen size bed. The description said it was 77 in long, but it actually only measures about 73 inches. So, it will be moving to the guest bedroom and I have ordered another 3 in memory foam topper for my bed. There are lots of complaints in the other reviews about the smell, which really didn't bother me at all. Yes, there is an odor to it, but it's not offensive in any way. It's kind of like the smell of a new shower curtain. Once you put a mattress cover and sheets over top of it, you can't smell it at all.

I followed all the instructions for opening the mattress topper, and it never opened. Finally I had to cut it open with a knife, at which point I noticed the top layer was stuck all bunched up to the bottom layer. I had to cut that also to try to get it to lie flat - unfortunately damaging the mattress topper. If it would have unrolled properly, I would have been very happy since it seems to be very comfortable.

So far my husband and have had this for about a month.. It does seem to do the the trick but i will wait a little longer to go gaga over it...My husband has had really bad back pain and after the first like 3 or 4 days he actually started feeling better.. So all in all pretty good would eventually like to try the actuall mattresse and not just the topper..

I aired mine out for a few hours and it was fine after that. My husband actually THANKED me in the morning after our first night on our new topper!

I love this mattress cover and we want to get more for our other beds. It is good on the back-very comfortable. The only suggestion is that when you open the package, let it air out (outside if possible) for a few hours because there was an "offgas" smell which went away after airingl.
