Is this mattress two-sided? Can it be flipped over to use the other side?
After sleeping on select comfort for ten years and trying memory foam for a couple more, we needed something more supportive and firmer for our aging bones. This be is firm but not hard. I went to select comfort long ago because of pressure points and soreness, which the air mattress cured, but it did not have as long a life as it was supposed to, and the surface had become lumpy and uncomfortable. This bed is great because it does not cause pressure points, is uniformly comfortable across the surface, has a soft touch but great support, doesn't transfer motion, and doesn't sag when you sit on the edge. That last item is something that is very annoying about memory foam, as comfortable as it is. The last foam mattress I bought, which was supposed to be very firm, was so unsupportive at the edges that a foot of the bed on each side was unusable! The only drawback to this set is that it is so tall. I bought it with the low profile box spring, but the two of them are still 24" tall, coming up to my hip, which makes it easy to get out of bed but a challenge for my husband, who has a leg injury, to get in. We have a low, platform bed frame, so we are going to try it without the box spring for a while.otherwise, it is not at all hard, just firm and comfortable. We have been sleeping on it for about four months....

I am very happy with this purchase. The bed is very comfortable and is great for my back. It arrived quicker than I thought with no problem. I ordered the low profile option and it appears to be a close to normal height which is fine with me. Of course I was hesitant to purchase a bed with out trying it out first, but I am very happy with the purchase. It's like a breath of fresh air.Read More
Within a week of having this mattress, you can see the imprints from where my husband & I lay down. It's a pillowtop, not memory foam, but even if it was, I would think it would "bounce back". I'm calling the warranty company today because the mattress is not returnable.Read More
