worth buying for the price
The overall assembly was relatively easy and didn't require a lot of time. It took me roughly 2 hours and I'm a girl! My husband did tighten the screws because I guess I didn't tighen them enough. The mattress is thick and extremely comfortable. The arms are constructed out of wood and are pre-assembled and very sturdy. The frame is metal and sturdy. The metal wrench they give you to tighen the nuts on the frame is worthless so have a proper wrench/vicd-grip handy. The frame has 3 different positions and is easy to manipulate and change. There is a technique but not difficult to master. I do recommend buying a futon mattress cover at the same time. There is no way to wash the cover on the matress because of the stuffing inside.

Beautiful Futon
This futon is classy once put together. Even though I assembled this futon by myself in about 1.5 hours, I would advise this as a two person job due to the awkwardness of parts and the extensive amount of bolting-in required. It is not incredibly complicated to assemble, just tedious. The wood-work is gorgeous and just like the picture, however, the mattress color is darker than expected. It is worth noting that this is the most comfortable futon I have used, but it is still moderate to firm as far as sleeping goes. The wonderful thing is that you don't feel the framework underneath when you sit, which is a risk when you purchase metal framed futons. Overall I am very pleased with the purchase and would absolutely recommend this product to friends.

Extremely Satisfied
This futon was exactly what I was looking for - good comfort, stylish, and great value compared to some at furniture stores that I looked at. The fabric is a dark taupe/ light chocolate microfiber - looks nice. It was very easy to put together and looks great. Another good overstock purchase!!

Futon was an excellent choice.
The purchase of a futon for my basement family room was without a doubt the best purchase I have made in a while for that area. This futon is sturdy, looks very nice, and the bed portion is very comfortable. I mainly purchased this futon for use in the basement for several teenagers to use for sitting for gaming and to be used for quest to sleep over.

Comfy, but not as expected
Mattress is not as thick as advertised, nor is it Serta brand. The arms/frame are Serta, the mattress is Wolf. The cover shown is not an additional cover, some genius decided to make the mattress out of pretty flimsy microfiber. If you don't have another cover on order get one ASAP. The cover started to tear pretty quickly at the tufting points. There is also a terrible chemical odor when you unpack the mattress, my face was swollen for 2 days. Once the smell dissipated I was able to use the futon and it is very comfy. A friend stayed over and slept on it, he said it was comfy too. Most of the futon was not terribly hard to put together, took 2 people. Part of the metal frame was bent slightly and it was NOT easy to get the 2 parts together. Used some grease and a lot of pushing, but it still took about an hour for that 1 part. The arms arrived looking like they'd been thrown down the stairs and smacked with a hammer at the bottom. Took longer to get Overstock to agree to send me new ones than it took for the original order to arrive. The new arms came and are in near perfect condition (1 small ding) Overstock accepted my pics as proof that the original arms were damaged and did not ask that they be sent back. They shipped me new ones at no charge and instructed me to dispose of the damaged ones. Everyone i dealt with in customer service was very nice. Overall it is a decent product. The flimsy microfiber cover on the mattress is a bit of a let down since it is not durable at all, but the futon looks nice and is comfy. Hopefully it will last me a few years.

Beautiful Futon with Fatal Design Flaw
This is a beautiful futon. I was delighted when it came in the mail. It took two people a few hours to assemble it, but it was sturdy and well-crafted. It was comfortable to sit or lay on and fit nicely in an apartment space. The only problem is a fatal design flaw: the bottom rails have no reinforcement bar across the bottom. Within a few days it took on a U-shape. A tiny metal leg that is not visible in the photo is in the front middle of the couch. Within a week it snapped off and now the couch is V-Shaped. We do not weigh an excessive amount. I am working with Overstock to get a refund or a replacement. They've been great about giving me options - just be sure to save the box if there's any chance you might be returning it.

Great futon and frame for the price!
This futon was exactly what I expected and a great value for the price. The frame was relatively easy to assemble, the mattress is very comfortable, and it easily transforms from a sofa to a bed and back. The only minor problem was a small defect in one of the washers that came with the hardward, but it was possible to assemble the frame without it.

Awesome futon to sleep on!
I've never bought a futon couch before - I labored over all of the choices here and elsewhere - I finally picked this one and I am really happy I did! My friend and I looked like Laurel and Hardy when assembling the monstrosity (looking back it was a comedy of errors, funny), but totally worth the time spent. I sometimes sleep on this rather than my memory foam mattress just because I love how comfy it is. Only one drawback, which is prevalent in futons - the back is just a big grill that is difficult to hide without some fancy cover. I just threw a nice king-sized comforter over the entire thing and it looks great. The ultrasuede is easy to keep clean and looks sharp, too. All-around good purchase.

Frame is Metal, hope it holds up and the welded job don't break...time will tell. Mattress is as good as they get for futons. Wood seems fake? Not real solid, very lightweight. Appears to have a veneer.
