I never owned or even used a futon before , but i was drawn to the style and brand name serta and needed something for a guest room. i had no problem putting the frame together and my futon arrived really quick! For some reason I thought the mattress part of the futon would be a serta mattress but it was a brand called "wolf". The mattress seemed kind of lumpy, when I unzipped it the cotton batting was like pieces of cotton filling , there was a foam core pad about 1-1.5 inches thick. I think the serta futon frame is great , but I will probably look in to another mattress pad because this one is like sitting on a bag of laundry.

I bought this futon for my Media Room. It fit perfectly. It is VERY comfortable. And, so far, very sturdy.

My futon was delivered last week and I must say that the furniture has good quality and looks great in my living room. I am actually using it as a stand by until I get a sofa and love-seat. It's comfortable and sturdy. I like the way it was packaged. Very organized and the instructions were easy to understand. This futon is an excellent buy. I've only had it a few months, hold up great. The mattress is comfortable and is a good sleep. The wood is solid and is stable with a nice, dark finish. Makes it look like money. It's legs in the middle of the frame makes me believe it won't sag or bend in the middle like most other college futons. This was/is in a college dorm/apartment and held up great in both. Fits many people comfortably, only issue i have with it is the arm rests. They aren't really necessary and the slant on them makes the my remote slide down.
