Very nice touch to the pad. I ordered the king because of comments from others--had to cut about 8" off to fit the top of the queen bed--not as beautiful, but have extra to make some small pillows. Didn't notice any odor after I unrolled it. Some people had reviewed that the "holes" were too large in the memory foam--couldn't see any and I didn't feel warm sleeping on the memory foam. Made the hard mattress comfy! Great service and shipped very quickly.
After having a regular foam topper, the "cool" topper was much firmer and I needed the electric blanker all winter to feel warm enough. I was never warm enough. We never had any problems with our old non-cool topper. My biggest complaint is I never felt comfortable with this topper---my lower back aches frequently, or I feel pressure points on various us areas all the time.
'Very comfortable, didn't take long for it to open up, just unwrap and let it unwrap itself. I didn't feel it had a strong smell at all. My guests love it as I put it on a futon in my guest room. Makes the futon very comfortable.

This mattress topper is wonderful. Except for the odor (which is gone after a few days) and being slightly smaller than my queen size mattress (no biggie), the topper has allowed me to forestall buying new mattresses for a while. In tight economic times, that helps. Be aware that your bedspread may not go to the floor anymore since the topper raises the level of the mattress.
