The mattress and box springs were delivered in a very timely manner and they were unboxed, taken upstairs and put on the bed by the delivery men (YEA!). I'm still getting used to it - the old mattress was 25 years old and had definite "dips." It's also a lot bigger than the old mattress and with the new high bed, I have to be careful not to "fly" out of bed. You cannot beat the quality, price (and shipping) of overstock.com.
I purchased the serta pillow top delphina after visiting a number of stores and decided this was the best deal. I called and asked about the firmness rating and was told it was a firm mattress. the sales person told me to read the reviews and sure enough, the first one said it was firm. I must say the bed looks great, but I find it is much too soft. With the no returns policy I am stuck with it ,so I guess I'll have to make this into a guest bed eventually. Not a bad value, just too soft for my taste and back.
Read all the other reviews and made the purchase. Great bed and like the others,,,,,,,,,,,beats going in and out of mattress stores only to forget the last bed you looked at. Sleep is good and price was great.Thanks for the reviews, they really speak the truth! Overstock is the best!
This pillow-top mattress is firm, but still comfy. I also like that it makes the actual height of the bed seem taller, so it's easy to get in and out of bed.
We love this mattress! We looked at several options locally and tested them all out (memory foam type, sleep number, etc.). Based on various factors, we decided to stick with a "traditional" mattress, but go with a pillow top. It is wonderfully comfortable and I am getting the best sleep in years. I used to wake up several times a night with a low back ache, but not any more. This bed has a great mix of firmness and softness. Buyer's should note, however, that this bed set is very thick... and can make your whole bed once on a headboard/footboard very high. Ours was a high poster bed to begin with and now with this mattress set, the top of the bed is above my waist, and I am 5'10". Be sure and buy sheets with deep pockets and you might just need a stool to get into bed!
