I did an extensive amount of research before purchasing this topper. I had read all of the good reviews as well as the negative ones. I was prepared to get a stinky compressed topper that I was going to have to let air out for days before I could use it. To my surprise when I opened the box there was only a faint oder and I only had to wait a few hours for it to get its shape and the odor gone . I received it in a very timely manner and have been quite satisified with it. I would reccomend anyone who is looking to extend their old mattress's life at a reasonable price this is definatly the way to go. The only draw back that I have is that my bed is on a pedestal and by adding 4 inches on top of that its a little harder to get in bed than I expected but if I have to get a little stool to get into the bed that is only a miner inconvience compared to the comfort of the topper. and the money I saved. I was a little disappointed in the pillows though. I already have 2 Temper pedic pillows and was expecting something at least similar, the only thing they have in commom is there shape but considering the price difference I cannot complain too loud.

My daughter suffers from FMS back pain. Bought this item to reduce night pressure on pain points and help her sleep better. Within two days after the product arrived it had unrolled perfectly (thanks for the tips about letting it unroll itself) and the smell was virtually gone. Since that time her night sleeping is much improved, and she loves it. Great product!

My husband and I have had the same mattress for the past 4 years - a hand me down for our first apartment from a family friend - who had it for at least 10 years....Needless to say its time for a new one and we just can't get the cash together! This is a fantastic stand in and really "perks up" our old mattress. Highly suggest this product. Spend the extra $50 to get this one that is all memory foam and not just plain old foam. One down side is the smell, we let it air our as long as the paper suggested but it still made our sheets smell. We have had it for a couple weeks and it continues to fade so I am not too worried. It also says the smell is normal and it is not harmful.

We had a serta pillow top mattress that was about 6 yrs old. It had a huge dip in it from where my husband sleeps, so every night I felt like I was fighting my way out of a hole, I would toss and turn trying to get comfortable. I would wake up with back, hip and leg pain, and my legs would fall asleep during the night. I wasn't sure if this mattress topper would help but I was desperate for sleep and we didn't want to spend the money on a brand new bed. So far it has made a huge difference, I don't toss and turn, and I wake up without pain. The pillows that came with it are great too. It only took about 2 hours for it to regain its shape after taking it out of the box. But we have had it almost 3 weeks and there is still a slight smell (The first week the smell was VERY strong) After about 3 weeks, I have noticed I am starting to feel that "dip" so I am hoping that it doesn't loose its support.

I ordered this 4" serta memory foam topper because my mattress was getting old and uncomfortable, but I did not want to spend the money for a new one. I have one of these toppers on another bed in my summer home & I went from having backaches every morning when I awoke to no backaches. So I bought another one & find it to be very comfortable. It comes tightly rolled, so you have to be careful when pulling it apart. I left it open for a couple of days before putting it on the mattress & it was fine & did not have any smell. You will feel much higher on your bed because it does add 4" to the mattress & you will need to get extra deep sheets. Also, you need to be careful not to smoke or put anything electrical near the topper that could cause it to catch fire, because the foam is highly flammable. I am very happy that I purchased it and would recommend it to others.
