I did an extensive amount of research before purchasing this topper. I had read all of the good reviews as well as the negative ones. I was prepared to get a stinky compressed topper that I was going to have to let air out for days before I could use it. To my surprise when I opened the box there was only a faint oder and I only had to wait a few hours for it to get its shape and the odor gone . I received it in a very timely manner and have been quite satisified with it. I would reccomend anyone who is looking to extend their old mattress's life at a reasonable price this is definatly the way to go. The only draw back that I have is that my bed is on a pedestal and by adding 4 inches on top of that its a little harder to get in bed than I expected but if I have to get a little stool to get into the bed that is only a miner inconvience compared to the comfort of the topper. and the money I saved. I was a little disappointed in the pillows though. I already have 2 Temper pedic pillows and was expecting something at least similar, the only thing they have in commom is there shape but considering the price difference I cannot complain too loud.
I love this topper I have had it for some time now but its very nice. I have convinced some of my friends to buy this to use on an uncomfortable mattress and it does seem to help. If you want a great deal on a memory foam topper and pillows you cant go wrong with this.
We just bought a house and I'm moving my 91 year old father up from his home. We bought two cheapy box spring and mattress sets for the guest rooms and two 4 inch toppers. Until our stuff gets here from his home and mine, we've been sleeping on on the guest beds.My father has no back pain anymore and I'm sleeping like the dead. Trading in my $2500.00 boxspring and mattress for the cheapy one with the memory foam!
I bought this topper because my mattress was very hard and I always awoke with back and hip pain. I find it to be extremely comfortable. Yes, it did stink when I first opened it but the odor disapates rather quickly, just let it air out before covering it. It does make your bed very tall and you may need a stepstool to get into your bed. I put it under the mattress pad although I wasn't sure if it went under or on top of the pad? No mention of that in the pseudo-instruction paper. I still get the expected memory foam feel under the pad. Overall, I love it!
