We've had this mattress set around 6 weeks and I absolutely adore it. It's beautifully made and came triple wrapped inside the same fabric that covers the mattress. Be forewarned though that this mattress and boxspring together make getting into bed a real challenge without a set of steps. Our shelties can no longer make it -- even with a running start. My husband is considering getting rid of the boxspring entirely and just setting the mattress on the supports for our sleigh bed. Don't know what I would have done if I had been buying this for my four-poster bed. I think it might have been as tall as the 17 mattresses in The Princess and the Pea. There's no disturbance when a second party gets into the bed so no worries about disturbing a sleeping spouse or partner. And best of all -- after years, no squeak, squeak, squeak, every time I move in the bed. The mattress has not sagged at all. This was just an unbelievable deal after looking at "discounted" beds that were 3 times the price.Read More
i was very apprehensive about buying a mattress set by web. but the serenity mattress is the best. set it up and slept for 14 hours. now as far as the delivery. i read all these glowing delivery remarks about how they set up the new one and took the old one away. NOT! we had a very short 130 lb driver who told us it was curb side delivery only. my husband and i helped him get the mattress in the house and set it up. as he volunteered to help us we tipped him very nicely. If you are older and can not wrestle a very large (19 inch) mattress and then the box spring after taking out your own box springs and mattress you may want to hire someone to come and help you out. it was a very hard task and my husband's and my back is much the worse for the savings. it was worth it however when you consider retail price runs 4-7 thousand dollars.Read More
Delivery did take almost a month but we when it was delivered it was brought inside and set up by the delivery service. The professional delivery guys were amazed at how heavy the mattress (king sized) was. I was very glad they were moving it and I wasn't trying! We read a million reviews before buying this bed and have found it to be a good compromise for us. My husband likes a very firm mattress and I usually like a very soft mattress. This mattress is firm but with the memory foam topper it has worked for me. My problem was loose joints that ache because they slide around a lot. I haven't had joint pain in that way in the month we have has this mattress. My husband gets overheated and sweaty as this mattress holds heat quite a bit, but I think that happens with any memory foam mattress. I am always cold and haven't had a problem getting overheated at night. We will see what summer brings. Part of me misses my cushy bed that I sank deep into but we are overall both comfortable with this mattress which I didn't expect to ever happen. We were both very happy that this bed is American made and that we were able to find such a quality bed for the price. Is there a better bed out there? Sure, but I am sure it is at least twice as expensive. I expect this bed to last us a very long time. Please note- This mattress is VERY high. You will need super deep pocket sheets and you do NOT need the "boxspring". It isn't a boxspring it is quite literally a box and unnecessary. A piece of plywood would work just as well (we are going to switch it out) and won't involve climbing to get in and out of bed.Read More

A mattress pad is a less expensive way to add comfort to your bed than purchasing a whole new mattress. With that said, if your mattress is lumpy or saggy, a mattress topper probably won't make much difference. If it is good, though, you have many different choices in material, price, and comfort. Whatever you get, just make sure you purchase the right size for your bed frame. Take a look below to learn more about the best-selling mattresses on the market.

Before purchasing a box spring, it's necessary to think about size, quality and value, as well as comfort. Choosing the Right Density for Your Memory Foam Mattress
A decade ago, choosing a memory foam mattress was easier because there were so few brands and options. However, as the prices of memory foam mattresses have dropped, more brands have begun producing memory foam bedding, and choosing the right mattress has become more challenging. However, one factor remains constant throughout the different brands: memory foam density. Memory foam density, expressed in pounds per cubic foot, makes a big difference in the softness, durability, support, and price of your mattress. Knowing a little about the different densities of memory foam mattresses can simplify the buying process and help you find the memory foam mattress that's right for you.
Best Pillow-top Mattresses for Back Pain
The key to a good night's sleep when you have chronic back pain is as simple as choosing a good pillow-top mattress. Choosing the best mattress involves knowledge of your personal needs and preferences. To get a comfortable night's sleep, start by choosing a pillow-top mattress made from the right materials for you. Next, choose your preferred thickness. Finally, have firm sleep support underneath the cushions of the pillow-top. Below, you'll learn the best pillow-top mattresses for back pain. Choose the materials: Pillow-top mattresses are made from a variety of materials, so choosing the one that is right for you can make all the difference in the world. People with muscle pain should consider down pillow-top mattresses, which provide a cocoon to sleep in. Those with back issues will generally prefer memory foam pillow-top mattresses, which conform to the body and offer consistent support to areas like the lower back. However, it is important to check the manufacturer's information regarding the recommended weight allowances for these types of pillow-tops. Consumers who are heavier than the recommendations may find that the pillow-top cushion compresses in uncomfortable ways, leaving the mattress lumpy. Determine the thickness: Pillow-top mattresses come in a variety of thicknesses, from just 2 inches to 8 or more inches deep. Like choosing the right materials for your pillow-top, choosing the right depth is vital to getting a good night's sleep. Thinner pillow-top mattresses will allow more of the support from the remainder of the mattress to come through and will not develop body indentations as pronounced as those in a deep pillow-top. Pillow-top mattresses that are too soft may fail to provide back support and cause an increase in back pain. However, deep pillow-top mattresses are excellent for customers who suffer from fibromyalgia or other chronic pain. Check the warranty: Just as you would with any other purchases of its size, check the warranty of your pillow-top mattress. Most manufacturers will provide limited, pro-rated replacement warranties for manufacturer's defects, and some will provide a "comfort guarantee." Others may have specific conditions that must be met in order to maintain the warranty, such as having a boxed spring by the same manufacturer. Take note of any special conditions for the warranty and keep the paperwork. View All Mattresses Back to Guides Directory View All Mattresses
