Sensus Memory Foam 3-inch Mattress Topper

I bought this topper knowing that I will have to wait for the chemical odor to go away, but this is getting ridiculous. I've been airing it out for 18 days uncovered in a well ventilated room and the smell is still there, much less than before but I can't imagine sleeping on it if it continues to smell like that. I can detect A distinct chemical odor when I come into the room. The topper seems comfortable, but I've not been able to sleep on it yet because of that odor. I'm starting to wonder if that odor will ever go away. Anyone knows if the odor goes away completely?

Look no further, this is the memory foam mattress topper you've been going back and forth in you mind about purchasing. You won't regret this purchase. Like others, I did my research before buying. Not only was the Sensus rated the highest of all I found on various web-sites, but Overstock.com has the lowest price by hundres of dollars. The 5 pound density really does make a difference. I'm known as the "Princess and the Pea." I buy the loftiest mattress I can find, then put two (2) quilted mattress pads on top and finish it with 1000 tc cotton sheets. Nothing works for long. This Sensus mattress topper was extremely soft, yet surprisingly supportive. There was no odor when opened and it expanded completely to fit my king-size bed in only a few hours. The only problem was the struggle I had with the weight getting the shipping box up a flight of steps, unpacking it, unfolding the mattress out onto a sheet on the floor and then, after a few hours, lifting the memory foam mattress up onto my already high bed. I covered the Sensus mattress with a cotton mattress pad before putting on the cotton sheets. I found the bedding cool to sleep on and easy to change positions during the night - no sinking feeling. Excellent investment in what I hope will be many good nights of rest.

We love this topper! We decided against buying a bed with built-in memory foam, opting instead for this on top of a cheaper, quality mattress. And that was an excellent decision. This topper does not slide around and makes sleeping so luxurious.Our only complaint is the size of the topper when unpacked. We have a king mattress and ordered the cal king topper. It does not come all of the way to the sides of the bed (though extends to the foot and head of the bed just fine), so the edges of the unmade bed don't look that great; you can see where the topper ends, then there's the edge of the mattress two inches further. Not the prettiest sight, but that does not impact comfort. So, definitely worth it, just know that it might not reach all the way to the edge of your bed. Advice: buy the next size up and cut it down to size, just to be safe.

This was a great buy! I was looking for something to add to my too firm mattress without buying a new mattress. This was the perfect answer. Provides all the comfort and support I was looking for at a bargain price. It did take about two days for it to expand to full size and for the smell to dissipate. If you're looking for a good quality mattress topper this one is a best buy.

This is an excellent mattress foam topper. We purchased a mattress set, just the base firm model. We then placed this topper on that mattress set, and had an instant memory foam matress set! The advantage here is that we can rotate the memory foam topper. Also what wears out the quickest is the memory foam, which can easily be replaced.The only downside is that the topper appeared to have been stored too long, and did not recover fully in several small areas. This however does not impede the usablility of the topper.
