Very satisfied with this foam, arrived quickly and without any issues. Sizing was generous (king-size pad purchased) and foam was without any flaws. Provides a lot of comfort for its thickness (1"). I combined this pad with 1" of latex foam, which is much spring-ier in feel. The combination of the two pads has eliminated problems with loss-of-circulation in arms and with sore shoulders and hips when sleeping on my side on the underlying firm spring mattress. Also 1" of memory foam avoids the "sinking" feeling that thicker memory foam toppers give.I think the one issue that affects memory foam in general is "off-gassing" which was the case as well for this foam. I let the pad air out for three days before sleeping on it; despite that, the chemical odor was noticeable for a week afterwards. If you have a sensitive nose, plan to air the foam out for a week, unless you use a non-breathable mattress cover. Now, after three weeks, there is little noticeable odor.
This 1-inch mattress topper made our firm mattress way more comfortable. I am a 6'4" 205 lbs side sleeper so having a mattress topper was a must. I no longer wake up with sore hips or shoulders. The fact that it is 1-inch also allowed us to continue using our current sheet set. The price (~$80) was also good.
I bought this topper to hopefully soften the feel of my sleep number bed. I purposefully wanted a good density foam. I does seem to help but a lower density foam may have been more comfortable.
The product itself is a 5 in my book and I am very happy with it, however I would not recommend purchasing the 1" pad by itself. I actually combined it with a 1" Venus and it was still a bit too thin for my taste. I am 6' 4", 210 lbs with a back that lets me know I've pushed it beyond physical limitations at various times in my life. I would recommend at least 2" and would go 3" for ideal stand-alone. I ordered the Cal King which has the same length dimension as the queen (and same cost) and cut off the excess which is 18" wide. Cut that strip in half and used it to create a 2" base for my torso on top of the 1" Venus and it is awesome! Great product and great price. Go thicker unless you just want to add to an existing topper that is too thin.
I have a firm posturepedic mattress so I got the 1 inch sensus mattress topper to make it more plush. The one inch is PERFECT if not a bit of an overkill. I wish it were a little denser or thinner so my mattress can retain its firmness. The one inch sinks in a little, but it's not too noticeable. It makes my firm mattress feel like a pillow top. Definitely recommend if you like a medium firm to medium bed. But if you're like me and prefer a firm bed, I'd probably go with something denser like the venus 1 inch.
