how much does this mattress weigh?
We purchased this mattress for our guest bed, and it is VERY comfortable. Our friend slept so well on it, and she has issues with mattresses being too hard or too soft. Like Goldilock, this one was JUST RIGHT! We didn't notice an unpleasant odor when unpacked, though other manufacturers' mattresses have been noted to be ripe with an unpleasant odor and needing to be aired for a couple of days. Not so with this one. We are seriously considering buying a Queen size for our own bed....

Top 5 Reasons for Buying an Air Mattress

Nowadays, air mattresses offer a slew of sleep-inducing features, like pillow tops, memory foam mattress pads and even built in MP3s, vastly improving on their giant-sized, pool-toy predecessors. As features improve, air mattresses, also known as air beds, are becoming more and more popular and are being used for a number of different functions, even in place of regular mattresses. Keep reading to find out the top five ways that you can get the most out of your air mattress.
There are basically three common types of mattresses used today: spring mattresses, memory foam mattresses, inflatable mattresses and feather beds. Each type has its own benefits. A mattress pad is a less expensive way to add comfort to your bed than purchasing a whole new mattress. With that said, if your mattress is lumpy or saggy, a mattress topper probably won't make much difference. If it is good, though, you have many different choices in material, price, and comfort. Whatever you get, just make sure you purchase the right size for your bed frame. Take a look below to learn more about the best-selling mattresses on the market.

Memory foam density, expressed in pounds per cubic foot, makes a big difference in the softness, durability, support, and price of your mattress. Best Mattresses for Every Sleeping Position
A mattress is one of the most important purchases you can make because you spend hours each day sleeping and rejuvenating for the next day. While shopping for a new mattress, keep in mind the typical sleeping positions you have to ensure you will find the right mattress to help with bone or joint alignment. Below, you'll learn the best mattresses for every sleeping position. Sleeping on your back: If you primarily sleep on your back, you need to find a mattress with support to prevent pain in the lower back. Sleeping on a mattress that does not have enough support causes muscle strain in the back and increases the chance you will assume a poor posture during sleep, leaving you achy in the morning. The best mattresses for this sleeping position have at least 400 to 800 14-gauge coils. Innerspring mattresses feature firm coils to support the back yet still mold to the curvature of the spine. Mattresses with box springs are ideal for those who sleep on their backs because they stabilize weight, offering back support and increasing the life of the bedding. Sleeping on your stomach: While sleeping on your stomach is comfortable, it also increases pressure and strain on parts of the body like the neck or back. Soft mattresses are the best for those who sleep on their stomachs. Look for mattresses that have 300 to 400 14-gauge coils, which will ensure the mattress is soft and comfortable. If you must use a pillow, look into buying a memory foam style, which molds to the head and neck to stabilize them during sleep. Sleeping on your side: Side sleeping is one of the most common positions on a mattress, and it may also be one of the hardest positions to shop for. Since you lay on your side, there is pressure on the shoulders and hips, which could make a firm mattress uncomfortable for sleeping. A mattress that is too soft is often not supportive enough to keep the spine in proper alignment. The ideal mattress for this position is one that has supportive coils, with a memory foam topper to provide comfort to the joints of the body. Read through this article to learn how to dry foam mattress pads.
How to Recycle a Memory Foam Mattress Pad
Once your memory foam mattress pad stops providing springy support for your mattress, it's time to let it go. In fact, switching out your memory foam mattress topper every 10 years is recommended to ensure that you're getting the support you want while you sleep. Rather than throwing your old memory foam bedding away, try repurposing it with a few helpful tips. Keep reading to learn how to recycle a memory foam mattress pad in an eco-friendly way.
FAQs about your Latex Mattress
If you're looking to upgrade to a latex mattress or have already bought one, you may have a few questions. This guide will answer frequently asked questions about your latex mattress and provide you with all the information you need to become acquainted with this new bedding trend.
