My husband and I searched for over a month for a new mattress after moving to Alaska. We were nervous about purchasing a mattress without testing it out first, especially since the price was so reasonable. When it arrived we immediately opened it up to air it out and make sure it had time to plump up all the way. I was pregnant with super sonic smelling abilities so for me it took almost 2 months to not have a strange smell but my husband only noticed a "new" smell for the first week. It is a firm mattress but it cradles very nicely. We are so pleasantly surprised with the quality of this mattress and how comfortable it really is. Definately a great decision for us to buy this mattress!Read More
LOVE this mattress!! Warm...cozy...just the right firmness...does retain its shape..and not bulky.Read More
We bought the king sized memory foam mattress. It is a great size and very thick. I was at first worried that it would be too soft but it is very comfortable to sleep on. We have it on two twin metal frames with springs. I think it would be even better on a more firm foundation. I would recommend this for the price.Read More
This foam mattress feels good to my extremely painful back and spine.Read More
We received our frame in less time than expected and it literally took me no more than 10 minutes to put together myself. awesome purchase!Read More
I was worried about buying this since no one had reviewed it. I waited and waited until my time was up. We built a vacation house and it was time to move in. I decided to take a chance and we have no regrets. We love this matress!!! We want one for our primary house now. My husband and I both have back problems and he is a very light sleeper. He no longer wakes up when I get up in the middle of the night. Our back pain has improved. The only bad thing about this matress is now we both have a harder time getting out of bed. Our first night sleeping on it we stayed in bed for 12 hrs because it felt so good.Read More
Wanted to wait to leave a review for after we've slept on it for three months at least. We are very happy with it. Easy to open up, let it sit for 48hrs to expand. Laid down, slight odor, but not overwhelming. It is on the firmer side, which is what we had wanted. We used a 2 inch mattress topper to give it a pillow top effect. Would say to buy and sleep well, there has been no sagging so we're happy customers.Read More
This is a high quality product, but if given the opportunity, I would not purchase another "medium firm" mattress. I prefer a firm mattress and, although this one is reasonably comfortable, I wish it were more firm.Read More
We have a lake house way out in the boonies and when I wanted to upgrade to a King Size mattress, I didn't want to bother with having to haul a mattress out there. I decided to take a chance on ordering a memory foam mattress (simply because it would come in a box that would be easy to transport out to the house). I AM SO GLAD I BOUGHT THIS!!!! We have no problems with getting too hot on this bed (that was a worry because about half of the people I know who have memory foam beds complain of getting too hot). I felt the mattress was just a tiny bit too firm (I am extremely picky - I'm sure I could've lived with it, but....) so I bought a 2 inch thick softer memory foam topper and now it is absolutely perfect. I sleep better at the lake than I do in my bed at home! My hubby had no complaint about the firmness, and he is also fine with the topper. I also purchased the King Size Rectangle Cut Out Platform Bed. Either this mattress is a touch wider than it should be, or the bed platform is a touch too narrow -- either way, we solved the problem by building up the platform with 2x4s and putting plywood over the top, so that the platform is flush with the side rails of the bed. Just be warned if you are purchasing this combination, you will have to make some adjustments. Even so, I would strongly recommend this mattress. We are in the process of building a house (our full time house, not vacation house) and when we move, I'm going to order this same mattress for home (with the topper). The price is fantastic and the convenience of having it come in a box can not be beat! We brought it to the lake house on a Friday evening and opened it up -- within 3 hours we went ahead and slept on it - it was almost fully decompressed. We've had it for over 6 months, so I'm not 100% sure about this, but I don't remember it having a bad odor (although the memory foam topper had to be aired outdoors for a day).Read More
We LOVE this mattress....I can't wait to go to bed at night! I've never been a memory foam fan, but the firmness of this mattress is perfect. You don't sink in, yet it's soft. I would definitely recomend this mattress, and the price is unbeatable!Read More

The shipping Box Dimensions: Height: 15 Width: 15 Length: 80 the weight is 90lbs
The mattress is shipped in a box measuring 15 inches high x 15 inches wide x 80 inches long, and the shipping weight is 90 pounds.
In the description I don't even see that there's any memory foam. Is this a typo? It says the first layer is just says "One 2-inch layer of 3-pound foam and one 1.75-inch layer of transitional plush foam atop a 7-inch core of medium-firm urethane foam". I don't see the memory foam ...
Urethane foam is memory foam.
How to Choose a Mattress for Back Pain
There's not a single mattress type that's best for back pain. While studies suggest that a medium-firm mattress is most likely to soothe a sore spine, your mileage may vary: one person's back problem can respond well to a memory foam mattress, while another person might feel best on a model with inner springs. If you're on the hunt for some bedding to help alleviate a sore body, take a look below to learn how to choose a mattress for back pain.
Best Reasons to Have a California King Bed
Similar in size to a standard king bed, a California king bed is four inches longer, allowing a lot of extra room top to bottom. A California king bed measures 72 inches wide and 84 inches long, and a standard king mattress measures 76 inches wide and 80 inches long, so while a California king mattress is four inches longer, it is also about four inches thinner than a standard king bed. Making a decision between the two might be difficult. Ultimately, both are great options, but there are a few conditions that might make a California king size bed the clear choice. Before you pick which king mattress is right for you, here are a few of the best reasons to choose a California king bed.
Best Pillow-top Mattresses for Back Pain
The key to a good night's sleep when you have chronic back pain is as simple as choosing a good pillow-top mattress. Choosing the best mattress involves knowledge of your personal needs and preferences. To get a comfortable night's sleep, start by choosing a pillow-top mattress made from the right materials for you. Next, choose your preferred thickness. Finally, have firm sleep support underneath the cushions of the pillow-top. Below, you'll learn the best pillow-top mattresses for back pain. Choose the materials: Pillow-top mattresses are made from a variety of materials, so choosing the one that is right for you can make all the difference in the world. People with muscle pain should consider down pillow-top mattresses, which provide a cocoon to sleep in. Those with back issues will generally prefer memory foam pillow-top mattresses, which conform to the body and offer consistent support to areas like the lower back. However, it is important to check the manufacturer's information regarding the recommended weight allowances for these types of pillow-tops. Consumers who are heavier than the recommendations may find that the pillow-top cushion compresses in uncomfortable ways, leaving the mattress lumpy. Determine the thickness: Pillow-top mattresses come in a variety of thicknesses, from just 2 inches to 8 or more inches deep. Like choosing the right materials for your pillow-top, choosing the right depth is vital to getting a good night's sleep. Thinner pillow-top mattresses will allow more of the support from the remainder of the mattress to come through and will not develop body indentations as pronounced as those in a deep pillow-top. Pillow-top mattresses that are too soft may fail to provide back support and cause an increase in back pain. However, deep pillow-top mattresses are excellent for customers who suffer from fibromyalgia or other chronic pain. Check the warranty: Just as you would with any other purchases of its size, check the warranty of your pillow-top mattress. Most manufacturers will provide limited, pro-rated replacement warranties for manufacturer's defects, and some will provide a "comfort guarantee." Others may have specific conditions that must be met in order to maintain the warranty, such as having a boxed spring by the same manufacturer. Take note of any special conditions for the warranty and keep the paperwork. View All Mattresses Back to Guides Directory View All Mattresses

Choosing the Right Density for Your Memory Foam Mattress

Best Mattresses for Every Sleeping Position
A mattress is one of the most important purchases you can make because you spend hours each day sleeping and rejuvenating for the next day. While shopping for a new mattress, keep in mind the typical sleeping positions you have to ensure you will find the right mattress to help with bone or joint alignment. Below, you'll learn the best mattresses for every sleeping position. Sleeping on your back: If you primarily sleep on your back, you need to find a mattress with support to prevent pain in the lower back. Sleeping on a mattress that does not have enough support causes muscle strain in the back and increases the chance you will assume a poor posture during sleep, leaving you achy in the morning. The best mattresses for this sleeping position have at least 400 to 800 14-gauge coils. Innerspring mattresses feature firm coils to support the back yet still mold to the curvature of the spine. Mattresses with box springs are ideal for those who sleep on their backs because they stabilize weight, offering back support and increasing the life of the bedding. Sleeping on your stomach: While sleeping on your stomach is comfortable, it also increases pressure and strain on parts of the body like the neck or back. Soft mattresses are the best for those who sleep on their stomachs. Look for mattresses that have 300 to 400 14-gauge coils, which will ensure the mattress is soft and comfortable. If you must use a pillow, look into buying a memory foam style, which molds to the head and neck to stabilize them during sleep. Sleeping on your side: Side sleeping is one of the most common positions on a mattress, and it may also be one of the hardest positions to shop for. Since you lay on your side, there is pressure on the shoulders and hips, which could make a firm mattress uncomfortable for sleeping. A mattress that is too soft is often not supportive enough to keep the spine in proper alignment. The ideal mattress for this position is one that has supportive coils, with a memory foam topper to provide comfort to the joints of the body.
