I feel more comfortable with the purchase of these seeds (2 cans). I like the variety offered and the fact that I can use any seeds produced (unlike the genetically changed seeds sold today that have been altered so you can NOT use any seeds produced). I was going to store the seeds in sealed barrels until I read that for every 7 degrees colder they're kept they'll last longer, so, they are now stored in our extra refrigerator (still in the can). Although I liked the selection of canned seeds, there are some additional seeds I am in the process of purchasing to round out the vegetables we enjoy.

great product for storage. these seeds will reproduce plants that have seeds that will grow. These are not genetically altered seeds.

Can't wait to plant these. The fruit and veggies that these plants produce can be used to plant new plants that will also produce fruit and veggies.

It likely grows in poor soil as advertised, however, I had to really prep my soil to get seeds to grow. It take still alot more work than I had in mind. Still where I worked hard on ground prep., it is a nice green. only time will tell if it returns thick next year after this draught ends.

Not worth it. Just go and get your own seeds for less.

This was a simple way for someone like me (who has very little talent in starting plants from seeds!) to follow simple instructions and grow my own herbs from seeds. Love this and will likely purchase a few more for transplantation to outdoors.

Read about Black Beauty grass seed in an article in the NYTimes where it was recommended. Used it both to overseed areas and to seed a bare area. Both areas have done well filling in with lush green grass. So far seems to be better than the seed blends I have tried in the past.

Great product, my tomatoe seeds were up quickly and are doing great. Peppers are under way next. So simple and I love seeing the quick results. This might be the best start I have ever had for my plants.

This is an awesome sprouter. I like that the trays stack, and it honestly doesn't take up too much counter space. I also like that it came with different seeds for me to try out. I started with the alfalfa and they were delicious. I'd recommend this to anyone that is a beginner with sprouting!

I planted some of the seeds the day I received this, less than a week ago, and all of them have sprouted. They're growing slowly, and repotting will be a challenge. If they survive that they should grow well.

We bought this to start our window farm. It comes with good instructions and all the popular seeds. Its been several months and we are still enjoying growing them. They are a great addition to sandwiches. Having several jars is good because you can stagger the harvest as they take 4-5 days to mature.

I was scared about starting any kind of plant from a seed, because I'm not exactly known for having a green thumb! Having this mix of sprouting veggies and herbs though made it incredibly easy to create my own organic garden in my backyard with confidence! I'm not moving on to multiple other plants and veggies/fruits, and I know it wouldnt have been possible had I not opted for this very affordable mixture!

When I purchased this item, I did not read the description thoroughly enough. In the 'title' it says sprouting kit (set of 3). I interpreted that to mean three complete kits. In reality, it comes with 3 jars... not 3 jars and 3 sets of seeds. Might not have purchased if I had understood that.

Will use this item for growing seeds of various species of plants. I would like to know if anyone has use this item? If so did the matt damage a wooden table, should a heating pad be place under the matt itself when in use to protect the table? Over all very happy that Overstock.com had this item for sale.

I was concerned that the product would be "stale", but I found that its germination was tested nine months ago ... giving me confidence that my efforts wouldn't be wasted. As seeds go, the germination and noxious weed content was above average. While it "came up" in 10 days as advertised, haven't yet had a good look at the grass. But from what I've seen, I think I'm going to like it. Next three weeks will tell.

These sprouters are nice for someone who is just beginning on their journey to sprouting seeds, grains, and beans. They stack neatly, so they don't take up a lot of counter space if you are working with limited space. I would say that the only drawback to this design is the need to rub your fingers along the bottom of the drainage holes to get the rest of the water drained off properly. If you don't, you'll have some standing water in the trays, and that could lead to molding and the such.

The product works as intended. Soak your beans/seed and place in the tray, using the over as the base of the next tray up. Easy to use, much easier than using a jar. Sprouting is fun to watch as each day the sprouts look different, and although I bought sprouts for my chicks, I eat them also. Eat on salad and sometimes just pop them in my mouth to taste/texture test. So far I like everything, except for radish sprouts. BTW, the one problem was delivery was very slow. That would be my only worry about buying from Overstock in the future.
