I've been shopping for cherry dining room chairs for years. The cheap ones look cheap, and the solid cherry are outrageously expensive. These chairs totally fit the bill. They look like real cherry and match my handmade cherry dining table very well. My dining room looks so great now, and I got 8 of these chairs for less than the cost of one made of solid cherry.At first I thought I would need seat cushions, and spent quite a bit of time trying out different cushions. I ended up deciding that the chairs are actually pretty comfortable on their own. I'm really really happy with these chairs!!

Not only are these chairs a beautiful addition to my seating area, they were a very easy to assemble. Well built and designed. Reasonably comfortable for a solid wood chair. Also, the customer service was amazing. One of the chairs had a damaged seat and rail. Exchanging them was effortless. I'd ordered from Overstock.com before, but after this experience I'm a loyal customer.

These chairs are definitely worth the money.My husband refinished an old painted oak table
and these chairs have a contrasting color that makes it look like a $1000 table.Nobody realized the price until we told them.
They are sturdy,comfortable and look great.

We were in dire need of new dining room chairs. I wanted some solid chairs like the teacher's chair I used when I was teaching. Found them on Overstock...bought them, and was glad I did! Not only were they easy to put together, but they are beautiful, and sturdy. A great buy!

We purchased a solid cherry table several years ago from a local fine-furniture maker but at 280.00 each, we were simply priced out of the matching chairs. After making do with a motley assortment of chairs for years, I found these which matched the elegant Shaker style of the table exactly. Wasn't sure if the color or wood grain would match as well, but I was just astounded at how closely they match the table. My father builds furniture and at first look he thought they were cherry. The finish and quality is beautiful, and I am picky about wood furniture. I don't like fake wood, and I don't like cheap finishes. These chairs are heavy and comfortable, not difficult to assemble if you are patient. We have two sets of them now and I couldn't be more pleased.

These are very solid chairs but...the color was lighter than expected (more a honey brown than a dark brown) and some of the screws for the round dowel cross bars between the legs did not graps and hold properly and fell out. So that required getting 1/2 longer screws from local hardware store which worked fine, held nicely, and did not split the wood of the legs it was going into. Otherwise, a relatively good deal. Bought 8 (4 sets of 2 chairs) and by the 2nd chair someone relatively handy can assemble them in their sleep!

I was amazed that the chairs were perfect color that matches the stain of my breakfast area. The chairs are sturdy and well-made. I was resistance about ordering through but after reviewing other people's recommendations I hoped the chairs would satisfy my needs. It sure did! The chairs arrived expeditiously. Highly recommended!

I purchased the chairs for my nephew and he thinks they are great. You must use power tools and be patient. The chairs were heavy, but I attribute that to the high quality. The chairs were smooth (no nicks, dents or wood chips sticking up to scratch you). I would certainly recommend them.

I am very happy with these chairs. They were very easy to assemble and are quite sturdy. The chairs look great in my kitchen. These chairs far exceeded my expectations. Great value!
