I bought this product in April 2011, I just bought a king size mattress, an expensive one and thought this would do the job. After having the frame for 2 months, one night I got out of bed and my side of the frame snapped in half. I way 200 pounds my wife way less than that. I called overstock and they gave me the manufacture's #, there is a yr warranty. I call the company, they are awful, I have not had a worse experience with customer service in a long time. They manufacture's don't have a customer service team they have a technical support team. I gave them the order, they said they would ship it and send confirmation email. I waiting a week for the email, called them they said the product had been shipped and an email would come anytime. I waited a 4 days, called back told them, they transferred me, I told them I just want the email so I can track the order. They have never sent me an email, and have blocked my phone number, so every time I call it discounts, I still do not have the product, and its been 3.5 weeks since they said they would ship the product and send me an email. My mattress is getting ruined and I am so upset at this company. They shouldn't be able to sale a product that breaks in 8 weeks and than cannot replace it.

If it wasn't such a hassle to send this bed back I would. I'm not very comfortable getting into it at night wondering if the bed is going to collapse or not. For a king size bed, it has less of a support structure than the queen size platform bed I bought. I also don't think the wood is as thick on the frame as it is on the queen one I have.

Please tell us about the quality of the product. Not very good. I have a queen as well and it's better made.

This platform bed was our first furniture purchase through Overstock. It is made in China, but everything works and all the pieces were there. Don't be afraid of all the bolts and screws. It goes together very quickly as long as you have a power screwdriver. We put the center brace in the middle before screwing down the slats. We had the whole bed together in less than an hour. EASY and met our expectations. The price was really inexpensive too.
If you are a restless sleeper, don't purchase this bed. It broke a week after we got it. Overstock refunded the entire purchase price and paid for shipping. Total pain to take apart and get it ready to ship back!!

Started off happy with this bed frame. After only one year, the glue joints began to separate. Poor design on where the stress falls on the frame. Spend a little more money and get a better product. I should have trusted the other bad reviews that I saw.
I bought the queen frame of this about 2 years ago in the dark brown color and loved that. I have now gone to a king size bed and bought this in walnut, which is a pretty color. It took me about 2 hours to put the thing together which is not the most fun. The instructions can be a little screwy to understand but now they have a video online, which I didn't look at. It comes with a lot of screws and I didn't have a power drill so I got a blister hand screwing the slats in. There is a central support bar with three adjustable legs. They've kinda modified those since my queen bed and it makes it easier to make sure you have enough support across the center. But I really like how this raises my bed off the floor, allows for storage underneath and vacuuming. I like the style, and I think it's a great deal for a really nice look. If you're going to put down just a mattress, I highly recommend you put some plywood beneath it. The mattress will eventually kinda ripple with just the slats. Oh, odd thing is with my king frame, there is extra space on the sides. Meaning that between the box springs and the sides of the frame I have maybe about 4 extra inches of space. Maybe that accommodates a Cal King? Not sure. But the length fits just right.
Got this bed a couple of weeks ago. Wood frame already cracked (within the first week). Very cheaply made. I bought another bed from Overstock and it is wonderful....should've bought the same one as before. This one is no where near the quality of the other one.
we put the bed frame together and it is too big for the mattress. it had 3 inches larger than the mattress. my husband had to cut the boards and put it back together again which took another 3 hours. Also, we kept hitter our chins when walking around the bed. Not very happy and didn't want to take the whole thing apart again to return it.

Yes it will because the slatted base is screwed down and doesn't move. Very sturdy.greeneyes156 on Apr 26, 2014
We bought the king size and sturdy is not an accurate description. Yes it is wood slatted, but the side rails cracked within the first week of using it. And we aren't using a box spring, just the mattress. Probably would have broke within the first day if it had more weight from a box springbuellbug on Jun 12, 2014
Yes sassybasset, this should work great with 2 twin mattresses. You may want to measure your mattresses first to make sure that the width of them together in 78" or less. I hope this helps, thanks for shopping with us.overstockcustomercare1 on Mar 31, 2014
Technically yes, but it leaves an 8-inch gap in length if your mattresses are standard twins, not XL twins. The bed is very nice looking and well constructed, but the length differential is a problem. Measure your mattresses, and check the product interior dimensions specified in the product description.hamsmom on Jun 10, 2014

To clarify dimensions ... the top of the platform is 11 inches from the floor ... in other words the bottom of your mattress will be 11 inches from the floor ... the top of the Side Rails is 14 inches from the floor so your mattress sits in the frame about 3 inches down ... the bottom of the Side Rails is 8 inches which is the height of the underneath storage space ... hope this helpslutefiskfuton on Oct 9, 2013
