This bed was abosolutely fantastic! I put it together last night with the help of my husband... We started putting it together upside down (Oops :)) but the disassembly was easy and putting it together correctly was a snap! All together with the initial disassembly and reassembly it took us about an hour total. The directions were easy to read and the whole bed came in one box. This bed is made of hardwood and the color was terrific. The bed is super sturdy and even though it is low to the ground, I'm still able to utilize a bit of the underbed space so I'm extremely pleased by that as well. I'm extremely pleased with this purchase and I would do it again, hands down, no questions asked. I had to speak with a customer representative about an issue I had with checking out and she immediately resolved the issue for me. I am so pleased with this company! This was my first time buying from them so I wasn't sure what to expect. I was totally amazed by how fast the order shipped too!! Ordered it on a Thursday and my order was at my door on a Saturday! I was so pleased. I would totally reccomend this bed and this company to anyone who asked :)

If you are looking for a full size bed frame this is NOT the frame for you. This platform bed, although described as a full is actually a full/queen which means it fits a queen perfectly and a full size mattress sloppily and this we did not discover until it was fully assembled. I'm so disappointed because I specifically purchased a full size mattress and bunky board prior to receiving the bed frame and now there is a two inch gap between the mattress and frame on all four sides. And because the platform is only 13 inches off the ground, it is impossible to find a bed skirt to fit it. They are all too long. So it makes hiding the gap a big problem. Sigh. This bed had so much promice but it did not deliver.
How did the color on site compare with the actual product? Accurate.
Please tell us about the quality of the product. Nicely made.
How accurate was the on site description of the product? Not accurate.
I bought this bed for my teenage son (16 yo). I needed to get him a bed that would hold his size (200+lbs and still growing). Was very happy with the quality and the color (walnut). Putting this bed together was no problem (make sure your drill is charged-lots of screws). We only needed to get a top mattress since this is a platform bed, so that saves a little money for you. The height of the bed was good too, my son can still put his containers under his bed. The only thing with the frame is there is a small space between the mattress, but you can't see it when the bedding is in place. Still felt this bed desires 5 stars. The best thing is that my son loves his new bed! Hope this info helps with your decision.
A good sturdy bed although it may be a little pricy from my point of view. But, I'm an old dude and maybe that's why. It goes really well with my new memory foam mattress as I don't have to use box springs and it keeps my mattress nice and flat, like I like it, not all saggy like the box springs. Now I can enjoy a good night's sleep without waking up in the middle of the night wrenching in back pain or in the morning. I feel much better with this combination and should have done it long ago , had I known. Overstock is my favorite on line store and I will continue to purchase their quality products.
We had looked at many full size beds and decided on this one for it's simple but elegant design. When we received the bed in what was an amazingly short period of time (one week) at no extra cost, we were not disappointed. The bed came well packaged to prevent damage and was easy to put together. We found this purchase to be better than expected and are happy customers.

Okay, so I can't even give as much credit as I'd want to the quality of the actual material because THIS DOES NOT FIT A FULL SIZE BED. IT IS TOO FREAKIN BIG. It's longer by 4 inches and wider by another 4 inches. This is RIDICULOUS. I did not pay 200 bucks to look like a tard who can't even find a bed to fit the mattress. It just looks so sad, and you can see the wooden panels on the sides where the mattress doesn't cover them. I am so upset!
The bed is exactly what I was looking for. Very sturdy, heavy, good looking wood (I got the black), and easy to put together. A few people mentioned issues with the full size being too big, implying full and queen were the same size, but that wasn't an issue for me. There wasn't more than an inch "extra" on each side for me. The directions were different for full and queen (included parts) and when I got the mattress, sheets, blankets, and comforter on, I couldn't even see the space. I can't believe how inexpensive it was for what I got.
Can you use a queen size mattress on a full size frame. I was reading the frame is wider than the mattress.michele18b on Oct 30, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hello michele18b, The Scandinavia Full-size Platform Bed frame will not fit a queen size mattress (59.0x79). Please feel free to contact us again with any further questions. Thank you for shopping with us!overstockcustomercare1 on Nov 7, 2013
I have a small studio apartment and need all the space I can get, so would i be able to put this bed on bed risers? Would the feet fit comfortably in the bed riser's spaces for bed feet?adaeze6250 on Jul 1, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hello adaeze6250, I think the center support legs may work with risers, however the outer legs would likely be too large for risers, and I personally would not recommend it as I think the bead would be unstable. A good option for under bead storage would be Item #: 13032675. That will give you 14 inches of under bed storage, and you can hide everything with a bed skirt. I hope this helps. Thank you for shopping with us. overstockcustomercare1 on Jul 2, 2013
You don't need risers. I store stuff under the bed just fine.mylittlek on Oct 22, 2013
Why not use under bed storage bags, the type where you take the air out, I do. Or, how about purchasing a platform bed which has storage drawers?giamia on Oct 27, 2013
Hello kittenbay1, thank you for your interest in the Scandinavia Full-size Platform Bed. This all depends on the Trundle. You would have to check the trundle size and compare to the space size under the bed to know if it will fit. The spaces underneath the assembled bed is indicated as follows …
Two storage space areas of 73 inches long x 27 inches wide x 8 inches high.
Thank you for shopping with us, and have a great day!

If the shipping box is 7"x22"x58" for a full size bed, does the long side of the bed frame come in two pieces? It looks like one piece in the picture, but otherwise it wouldn't fit in a box with the dimensions that were in another answer.fingerpen on Apr 9, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Hello fingerpen..often times the box dimensions we have aren't always correct. The long side is two long pieces, one for either side of the bed. We hope this answered your question. If you have additional questions, please set us know. Thank you for shopping with us.overstockcustomercare1 on Apr 15, 2013
Thank you for your question. A drill will make the process much easier. Have a great day!overstockcustomercare1 on Feb 20, 2013
i think i used only what they provided when the frame arrived. i think you run the risk of over tightening if you utilize a power tool, perhaps, i didn't need it.easy1234567 on Mar 16, 2013
I strongly recommend a small power drill. I did try it with a screw driver, hurts the wrist.goodnitesaigon on Mar 19, 2013
What are the inside dimensions where the actual full size mattress will sit on the slats? I read a review that said a full size mattress has a 2 inch gap on all four sides when using this product.dtodd1 on Feb 17, 2013Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
Thank you for your question. Inner platform dimensions: 13 high x 56 wide x 76 long in inches. Have a nice day!overstockcustomercare1 on Feb 20, 2013
That's true. I purchased a full & queen. There's definitely a gap between the mattress & frame. That isn't so much a concern as the fact that if you're not careful, you will hit your shins on the legs that jut out. Not sure I'd do it again unless I had more space.goodnitesaigon on Mar 19, 2013
What type of assembly is required? I had to get rid of my bed because it would not fit down the stairs when I moved so I need something that will be in smaller pieces pre-assemblynikik on Nov 26, 2012Please enter a valid question.Answer This Question
The assembly includes putting the frame together and the legs on. There should be no problem with getting this bed up the stairs where it can be assembled and disassembled.overstockcustomercare1 on Nov 26, 2012
This bed does not include a headboard. It would work well with headboards that hang on the wall.overstockcustomercare1 on May 18, 2012
