I am very pleased with this chair. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding. An unblieveable bargain!

After reading a tip that this chair matched the corner desk I was looking at, I added it to my cart and was NOT sorry. Yes, assembly was required, but after I made sure I still had some Elmer's Wood Glue in the house, I was good to go! I am virtually "Talent-Free" as far as carpentry or assembly of products, I bearly have a tool kit (hammer, a couple flathead and philllips screwdrivers and a bag of "extra parts and nails from other assembly jobs. Happily, I was able to knock it out in a couple hours on a Friday night. And got the desk built the next day. I really recommend securing all joints and what-not with the Elmer's glue. Some glue came with the desk, but it was in a generic tiny tube. It is just worth a $1.50 - so spring for it. The chair is now very sturdy and solid, it does match my corner desk perfectly and I am quite pleased with my purchase. The desk too!

We were very pleased with the chair we received, We purchased it for the desk in our son's room and it was the perfect color and finish to match his existing furniture. It looks as though it all came together from the same manufacturer. It was also priced right and was delivered promptly. It was easy to put together and was all solid wood of good quality. We couldn't be happier with this purchase.

It is difficult to find hardwood desk chairs anywhere. The Savannah Hardwood Chair fit our need perfectly. The quality is good. It was very easy to assemble. It is a great value.

I needed a comfortable wooden chair to match my desk (a light to medium Walnut Brown) and this fits the bill. It arrived packaged well and fully assembled...What more could you ask for right? I sat down and felt as though I'd owned this chair for years. It's well constructed and is well worth the price. I plan to get a lot of use out of it. The chair arrived first, and was a little challenging to put together, but with the assistance of glue and my husband's patience, it assembled perfectly. The desk was simpler to assemble, and is a perfect fit for a tight space. The set is great and a real bargain!

I bought this chair after reading others' reviews, and hoping that the color would match the Ashley secretary desk I bought recently. They are very close in color. The chair is made of hardwood, and it was relatively easy to assemble, about 30 minutes. The only part that was difficult to put together was the seat portion. It was a bit difficult to center it as there is no pre-drilled holes for the screws for this portion. But I managed to put the chair together by myself without my husband's help. It is a very SOLID chair. The color is rich as well.

just what I was looking for. I own two every-day desks with matching chairs, but over time, the chairs became unstable and I needed to replace them. The desks were both distressed wood -- one was pale green and the other pale blue. I intentionally bought these hardwood chairs to work in contrast with the desks. The combination words beautifully. The desks look like something a a set decorator would have used for a bookkeeper in a General Store on the set of Little House on The Prairie. One desk occupies a a corner of a guest bedroom. The other is placed in the entry way of my home with an antique typewriter placed on it. These chairs are darling!!!

We purchased this chair to go with a small corner desk for our bedroom. Everything was fine with it. It was easy to assemble and the color matched the desk pretty well.

The chair was easy to assemble and is even comfortable for having a hard wood seat.

I have ordered furniture online with mixed results, but this is the first piece I've ordered from Overstock. It was incredibly easy to assemble, instructions were fairly clear and the quality of the chair is really nice. It is heavy, solid wood and says it was made in Malaysia. It was packaged well and all pieces were intact...no chips, dings or split wood and no missing hardware. I recommend an electric screwdriver to put the wood screws in; it just makes it a little easier. An allen wrench comes in your hardware packet to put in the other screws. If I have to leave a negative (small negative), there was a rough place in the finish on the top back of the chair. I just got some very fine sandpaper and ever so lightly sanded out the rough spot and wiped off when done. Do proceed with caution if you do this, but I had good results and I was happy because the piece was smooth like the rest. Summary: Great chair for the price! I did a lot of shopping before I settled for this one and am very pleased. Also, my chair has a slight reddish cast--beautiful shade--akin to cherry wood if you are trying to match shades of wood.

We bought this chair to go with our antique mahogany keyhole desk. It fits perfectly in the space and the wood color goes very well with it. The chair is also very comfortable to sit on, and it was very, very easy to put together. I highly recommend this as a home-office kind of chair. But it would work well as a dining room chair, too.

Very pleased. Like the clean lines, finish and quality. Assembly takes awhile, but gets easier with each succeeding chair. I ordered 6.

If you're looking for something sturdy and attractive, then this is it! Oh yeah, you'll have to assemble it yourself. Bummer--because the instructions aren't nearly as helpful as they could be. I made several attempts and finally got the chair put together. Several things you'll want to keep in mind: first, don't screw in the spindle-supports until the very end; second, be very careful about placement of the seat before you screw it on (there are no pilot holes). If there's any complaint (besides the lack of really explicit instructions), it's that the back of the chair tilts back slightly. I'll be using this chair to go with a study desk and suspect I'll have to pad the back to give me a little more forward tilt. Two more comments: I really appreciated the careful packaging. Out of the box, the chair was in perfect condition. I'd also say the color is true to the picture online. My desk is maple and the chair matches it to a T.

Chais arrived quicly and in great condition. Assembly was time consuming, but not difficult. We are using them as kitchen chairs and they are very comfortable and sturdy. Definitely would recommend.

This chair was simple to assemble and is respresented very well in the photo. Each leg has a white plastic "button" so I added a felt pad to protect my wood floors. I purchased 2 of these for desk chairs but they would be excellent for extra seating anywhere. They look very classy with the cherry stain and satin finish. They provide good back support but I think I'll add a chair pad for my boney butt.
