This has the look and feel of a very high end product. Once we installed it we just loved it. A total nightmare to install. Over a 2 day period 2 people spent 2 hours a day trying to put it together so that you could get the bars to hold, get the lightbulbs in and get the wires connected while not dropping the glass globe. Total install time 8 hours. One reviewer said there was a spring on one of the arms - not on the one we received. Bad or non-existent instructions and a fax number for help. No response from the fax. Give it 5 stars for appearance and quality, 1 star for ease of installation. Will probably not buy any more items that require a pre-installation configuration but will continue to buy items that install right out of the box. Helpful hint if you buy this item - Do Not Use Round Bulbs, they don't fit with the globe. Use wide based candellabra lights and they will slide in.
I purchased a light like this from a lighting store. Here's how to get the glass globe off or on. One of the three arms has a spring at the end. You need to pull that arm towards you to create space to slip the cover off or on. The spring is tight so pull strongly.
The 2 ceiling lights were installed in the guest bedrooms and look wonderful in there. The 3 light bulbs give a very even lighting in the rooms, which are latively large. The frosted glass is just enough so that it hides the light bulbs. The lights are very useful and I am very happy with my purchase
I purchased this for a hallway during a remodel and was so pleased with the appearance, the lighting, and the ease of installation. Very happy with it!

I used this light in the kitchen and it is the perfect size. I installed a dimmer, so it creates the right ambiance dark or light, whatever the mood. Fairly easy to install. Really like the shape of the light and it's even better than the picture.
This light fixture looks really nice once it is up. It really does take two people to install. Another fault is that the wire nuts included with the fixture were too small. Luckily, we had bigger ones on hand.
This light fixture looks great once it's up, but it is definitely very cumbersome to get up there.
This light has three prongs which make it impossible to install the glass after you have set the fixture into the ceiling, as you cannot loosen the prongs once installed. The only way to install the glass is to keep the prongs loose but then the lamp hangs crooked. This light took my skilled, pro electrician 1 hour (and my $65) to install just 1! At the price of the lamp+install, I could almost get two cans. So, we have returned all three lights and are getting 6 cans for just a bit more $.
Just installed this fixture. It was a bear. My husband had to make a couple of trips to the hardware store for longer screws. It looks great but I'm dreading replacing the light bulbs - it was a squeeze to get each one in due to the shade being permanently attached to the fixture once installed. You must have a lot of time and patience to install.
Looks great, difficult for a licensed electrician to install....brackets did work correctly for installation...he said it looked as though fixture was produced in a foreign country.
I love these ceiling lights - they are made well and really look great in the room.
Bought this light fixture to match a celing fan we installed in the breakfast nook and it turned out to match perfectly. Thanks Overstock!
I have replaced all of the ceiling lamps in my house, and this one was a monster to install. I had a rectangular, flush mounted ceiling box in my bedroom. This lamp will absolutely not work with that type of box. I had to purchase a longer round mount box, and a replacement mounting bar, it needed one of the 2-bar rotating type of mounts as the screws that hold the actual fixture, are in the same spot screws need to be for mounting the bar to the box. I also needed one of those round plastic rings to cover the corners that were not open in the ceiling because of the switch to a round box. The shade was very difficult to install as well, not sure if there is a trick to mounting it, but the poor instructions pretty much leave it up to you to figure out.Once it was installed it looked good. Plan on purchasing extra parts, and being frustrated with this lamp...
This fixture actually looks good once up and the materials are good. It is a poorly designed fixture. We had to actually write to the company to find out how to install the glass shade. Very akward. We are not looking forward to the day we have to change the light blubs. They practically sit on the shade.
There were some damaged areas on the metal parts of the light - the worst one being on one of the balls that holds the glass shade. If you can look past that it does look very nice.
We have 7 1/2 ft ceilings and needed lights that wouldn't hang too low in the kitchen. Plus, we wanted the lights to be simple and "invisible", providing bright, indirect light. These are perfect. The milky white glass disappears into the ceiling and the semi-flush mount allows for a higher wattage bulb. I've looked at lighting for many months for our DIY kitchen renovation. These met all the needs we have.
I like the way it looks. The workmanship is not too great and it was hard to assemble.
