I searched for about 6 weeks for stainless flatware to replace a set that I had used for 40 years! The set was still quite serviceable, but I wanted a change for the next 40. Since it had been 40 years since I had searched for such a thing, I had much to learn. I went to stores to actually feel the different "levels" of stainless. I found that that 18/0, despite claims to the contrary, were light and seemed as if they would easily bend in my hands. I found that some of the flatware labeled 18/10 was really 18/8 and that actually seemed to make a difference that was greater than I would have expected. When I handled the 18/10 stainless in the stores they all felt good (solid and serviceable), but more than twice as expensive as what can be found here here. I am thrilled with design of this set. Both my husband I enjoy using them for our meals as the flatware is elegant and fits the hand well. Great price. Magnificent pattern. I highly recommend going with the 18/10 and this pattern in particular.
With a lot of Mission style furniture throughout the house, this pattern slides into the scheme and is consistant with that era of design. The size, weight and lightness of use fit my artheritic hands. We like them much more than heavier styles.
