Sophisticated simplicy, Asian-inspired flatware.
I'm working towards becoming a minimalist, so I donated my ornate flatware in favor of this set. Glad I did. Made by Sasaki, which is modern Asian design line. Notice the circle-shaped spoons. It's a unique pattern, which you will get used to after eating two meals. The first meal with the spoons seems a bit odd. The forks are European continental sized.... meaning larger than the ones we grew up with. That seems to be today's trend in flatware... bigger. This is service for eight, including serving pieces. I rate it 4 and 1/2 stars.
- How did the color on site compare with the actual product? The color is accurate. Matte stainless steel, not shiny.
- Please tell us about the quality of the product. Nice sturdy workmanship. Made in Vietnam. The box lists a limited lifetime warranty with a business address in Medford, Mass., USA.

Modern and Eye Catching
I was afraid this flatware set would be flimsy, especially the spoons, but they are not. They can easily scoop ice cream without bending. As in other reviews, the forks are generously sized as are the knives, which are wide and can hold a lot of peanut butter. Careful though, the edges are sharper than knives in typical sets (you get a butter server with this set). The teaspoon appears small, but actually holds a whole teaspoon of liquid. The spoons do have and unusual feel in your mouth, but are functional. I was afraid that maybe they would awkward and dribble, but I didn't find that to be the case. They actually work better than my old standard looking flatware. I think this set for 8, and all the serving pieces was worth the price for something with a distinct modern design.

Nice Contemporary Set
Very nice set,the only downside is the teaspoons they are the size of a baby spoon. Overall I like the contemporary look.
