What does the headboard and foot board look like?
I bought this for a mattress that I also purchased from Overstock. Very easy to put together. Very sturdy, except for the middle support legs- these are just plastic, and fall out because Im on hardwood floors-two have actually already broke. The bed is exactly what was expected for the price. It holds the mattress, looks pretty, and was simple to put together....

There was no common sense involved with the design of this bed! The wooden platform that holds the mattress doesn't meet with either end of the actual frame of the bed, leaving two huge gaps on the top and bottom end between the frame and the platform. Also, there are four PLASTIC "legs" that are meant to be attached to the middle, vertical 2x4 that supposed to help prevent the middle of the mattress from caving in. Well, that vertical piece of wood has four indentations to attach those legs, but there's nothing on the legs or the indentations to help grasp the legs & prevent them from falling every time you want to move the bed. If you move the bed a few inches over the legs un-attach themselves and fall. Overall this was a terribly designed bed and an absolute waste of money. It's cost us, so far, an additional $@# & counting to make customizations to the wooden platform to make it somewhat safe to sleep on. Really wish we can just return it and get our money back! Do your research and avoid making purchases from this vendor if possible!!Read More

It came in less time than anticipated, my husband and I put it together in less than an hour. Our queen memory foam mattresss fits perfectly, and it's a great bed. Very modern looking, actually nicer than I thought it would be.Read More
The bed was fairly easy to assemble, and looks a lot nicer than I thought it would. The frame is a beautiful almost-black faux leather, which is not what I expected but was a nice surprise. The problem arose when I proudly laid across the newly-assembled bed: the "supports" that line the middle of the wooden slats do NOT work. They are supposed to brace the midbeam of the bed against the floor, but literally the first time I sat on the bed, they all snapped in pieces. Now, a bunch of the plywood slats are snapped. I'm a 125lb lady, by the way! I now have cardboard boxes (I kid you not) under my bed keeping the middle from sagging to the floor. 2/10 would not buy again.Read More

I don''t think that there are any pre-drilled holes. You would need to do that yourself.
Hello, I was wondering if this product is brown or black? It is described as brown, but it also says that it has a black finish so I was a bit confused. If it is brown, what is finished in black? Thanks!

I have a tempur-pedic mattress and box spring queen-size set which together are very very heavy currently sitting on original metal rails...is this bed strong enough to support this kind of mattress?

What is the clearance between the floor and the bottom of the side rails/footboard?
There is roughly a 4-inch clearance from the floor to the bottom of platform.

This item does not require a box spring, if you wanted to you could, however ti would make the mattresses tall off the platform.
