Purchased this particular item because I wanted a cover over the memory foam. From past experience, this is an important point for me. I let the item "breathe" for days to expand to its reported 3" depth, but it has never reached 3". Barely 2". It's comfortable...I no longer have to adjust my sleeping position every half hour at night (yes, I have an excellent, 2yr. old, pillow top mattress but still wanted the softness of the memory foam,too.). I think it's very overpriced, but too cumbersome to somehow re-wrap and return. Oh! the packaging was awful...it was rolled up in plastic with tape all over, nothing neat about it.
I bought this to use as an alternative to my down baffle box and I was nervous, at first, only because I love the feel of down, but this topper exceeded my expectations! The quilted cover adds a nice cushion to the memory foam which makes it very soft, yet supportive. I've added one to my guest room and multiple people have also asked where I bought mine. Sleeping is that much more enjoyable!
