i 'm a man, so i don't normally buy the dishes for the house especially ones that i can't check out in my hands. but i bought these dishes and all we get is compliments about them. we have been married for 25 years and this is the 3rd set of dishes we've had to buy. this by far is the best set we've owned. they don't get hot in micro-wave and they haven't chipped or scratched they were used heavyly on thanks giving day and are very, very durable. if you're looking for some great dishes these are them and for less than 1/2 the price. I have 5 rough males in my house and these plates are standing up superbly to them! They do not overheat in the microwave and I love the rugged stone-like edging. They have not chipped and they clean up nicely. I bought 3 sets to have 12 settings and I'm very happy with the purchase.

Our home has a western rustic theme, and these dishes are a perfect fit -- lending both elegance and a natural appeal to our surroundings. There were a few minor blemishes/flaws (i.e. typically at the transition between the rim and the plate), but the dishes are sturdy without being overly heavy. Although they arrived without being damaged, both of the exterior boxes were only secured with one strip of tape on the bottom . . . they were 3/4 of the way open by the time they were delivered. Overall, great price, fast delivery, and a wonderful product.

I saw these dishes and fell in love at first sight! The edge detail is exactly what it says...rustic. I'm female but any man would also be proud to have this set on his table. Living in a rural area, I appreciate the opportunity to shop for items I would never find in local stores. I thought the charcoal color might show streaks with washing....not a problem at all.

Great set - they look excellent and seeem pretty durable. My complaint is that they don't fit in my dishwasher very well.

I ordered these dishes because I wanted something that would look good for a long time. I was replacing a set of sturdy white dishes and another review mentioned their durability and resistance to chipping, so I ordered them. They are really solid! I like the plates because they are slightly deeper than what I had, making sure everything stays on the plate, especially if it has any sauce/liquid. The dishes are a deep black color and the rim is gray/taupe... much more rustic than my old set, but that was exactly what I wanted. The only weird thing was the "lead free" wording on the box, making me wonder if other dinnerware would have contained lead?

These Sango dishes go perfectly with our kitchen decor- they are unique in that the edges are different than anything we've owned before, being textured just as in the pictures. My opinion is that these would really fit in with southwestern decor even though that's not what we have. Weight is good and when you look at the bottom of the dish, you can see the attention to quality and detail. We bought one set and, after seeing how well they were made, we went back and bought another. Packaging was very well done too- enjoy!

I really like these dishes. Great for a modern southwestern style. Bought them to use at kitchen table - but may even use them in the dining room for more casual meals.

The product was as described; arrived in perfect shape; service was excellent and the china itself is absolutely beautiful if you love the dark rustic look for your kitchen as I do. My kitchen is decorated with black appliances and kitchen table and accented with teal. Makes for a beautiful kitchen.

I love these dishes - they are exactly what I was looking for to go with the rustic decor of our Texas hill country home. I ordered two sets of red and two of charcoal and it will be fun to mix and match. I couldn't be happier!

I bought this set as a present for my mom and she is loving them. She loves how the outer ring is textured, and she says because the plate is black it makes you think it is more full so you don't fill it as much. It has held up well and so far has been a great dinnerware set. I bought a combo of the red and black and they look great together.

I ordered a set of 4 black and 4 red. I use the colors separately and mixed and love the look!! My only concern was the package when it arrived, but not to worry, they were wrapped very well with no breakage. Would recomment the Dinnerware and colors to anyone!Great purchase.

I love the Rustic look and feel of the Dinnerware. I have changed the colors in my kitchen and the dark charcoal color goes very well with the earth tones in my new kitchen. Nice heavy dinnerware.

I have a Western Cowbot motiff in my home. My cowboy husband and I love this set. Black, red and wrought iron are our choice of colors, I bought the red and the black set and I combine them and also just use the single color at a time. Its elegant, yet casual and so durable. I wish they made pices to this set. Looks absolutely gorgeous on my dining table.

I received my order very fast ~ I was so excited.. Unwrapping each item to make sure nothing was neither chipped nor broken. ~ woowho durable ~ arrived in perfect shape. My kitchen consists of earth tones & these dark plates fit perfectly. They are so much better looking in person. The outer ring is textured and with the shiny black. They’re FABULOUS ~they’re Masculine & Sophisocated, durable for everyday use yet elegant for special occasions. ~ They’re even good for driving in the car. (the base is a little wider than the rim so doesn’t tip over so easily) ~ And I spill everything in my car. ~ I Love the set so much that I ordered 2 more settings.
