We liked the look, and finish on these bowls. They are quite deep, and if you want to make classic broiled cheese topped soup, you'll need a large amount of soup!! More of a dinner sized portion than an appetizer, as they hold 20 oz. of liquid. The handles are a nice touch, and easy to hold.Read More
I ordered these crocks and was very pleased when they arrived... i had been looking for soup crocks for a while now and they were all so expensive that i couldnt bring myself to purchase them any where. Then i found these and for the price i ordered them.... as soon as they came i got back online and ordered another set of them.... they are great... perfect size... and they stack in the cabinet great for storing. Glad i found them on Overstock and am very pleasedRead More
The onion soup bowls are great. Used them the first day they arrived and they hold the perfect amount and do great under the broiler. They are just what I needed. Searched at many stores for something like these.Read More

I bought these for my son and family who love to eat ice cream. Within 2 weeks all the handles had broken off. THey even tried super glue, glue gun, etc. So I replaced them all with soup mugs w/shorter handles.Read More
This set matched color in picture and is great quality.Read More
I love the look, the quality and the price. I loved these bowls even more when they arrived. they look good with my new dinnerware sets also. You wont be let down. they are the perfect size and the handle is handy in avoiding touching the bowl if its hot.Read More
First set of four arrived with two of four bowl handles already broken. Emailed the company and was sent another set really quickly and free of charge. Second set arrived intact. Perhaps packaging leaves a bit to be desired. They are beautiful bowls and have worked really well so far, but because of earlier comments and first broken set, we've been really careful not to lift them by their handles and to store them safely when not using them. Think of these as the ornamental serving dishes you use on special occasions and treat them the way you treat your crystal, and you'll enjoy them a lot. If you're looking for everyday oven-safe soup bowls, you might want to look elsewhere.Read More

How to Set the Dinner Table
Dinner tables are set differently depending on the type of dinnerware and what food is served. Casual dinner table settings provide each person with the three basic pieces of silverware while formal dinner table settings provide guests with a separate piece of silverware for each course served. Plates, bowls, silverware, napkins and glasses are all part of the necessary dinnerware for setting the table. Having separate dinnerware sets for both formal and casual dining events is very helpful for setting the table appropriately.
How to Choose a Wood Lathe
Wood lathes are simple machines that allow you to make beautifully symmetrical woodwork. Wood lathes consist of an electric motor, two points, called the "headstock" and the "tailstock," and a chisel or gouge. As the motor turns the piece of wood secured between the headstock and the tailstock, the chisel carves. With a wood lathe in your collection of power tools, you'll be able to make a wide variety of items, including wooden pens, table legs, banisters and even wooden salad bowls. Although lathes are fairly simplistic tools, finding the right lathe for you can take some time and research.
Types of Drinking Glassware
Drinking glasses come in all shapes and sizes, from small tumblers designed to hold only a few ounces to large brandy snifters that hold 17.5 ounces. Each style of drinking glassware serves a specific purpose. Some are designed to direct the aroma of wine or brandy to the nose before drinking, while others are built for durability during high-spirited toasts. Drinking glasses are often classified by the presence or absence of a stem and the style of bowl. The shape of the glass, combined with the fluid capacity, enables each piece of glassware to fill a particular role when serving beverages.
