I WAS TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED WHEN THE SET ARRIVED. I EXPECTED IT TO MATCH FROM ALL THE OTHER REVIEWS I READ. BOY, WAS I WRONG. I SHOULD HAVE KNOWN WHEN I OPENED THE BOX AND THE SET WAS IN A PLAIN BROWN BOX. THERE WAS NO INDICATION THAT THIS WAS A REAL SANGO NOVA BLACK SET. CLEARLY, IT WAS A KNOCK OFF. THE DISHES WERE THIN AND THE COLORS WERE LIGHT - ALMOST NON-EXISTENT. NOT TO MENTION THE FACT THAT THEY WERE NOT THE SAME SIZE. I RETURNED THEM IMMEDIATELY. THE ONLY POSITIVE EXPERIENCE WAS THAT I RECEIVED A LIGHTNING FAST CREDIT TO MY PAYPAL ACCOUNT.

THEY WERE SLIGHTLY LARGER THAT WAS VERY NOTICEABLE WHEN YOU STACKED THEM TOGETHER. THE CUPS WERE OK. THE OTHER THING I DIDN'T LIKE WAS THAT THE SET WAS THINNER OVERAL - PLATES, CUPS AND BOWLS.

I am pleased with the dishes. They look nice and we are using them for everyday. 2 things you should know. The bowls don't nestle well in the dishwasher and I have a second dishwasher which is a drawer one and the dinner plates are too big and don't fit in it. I have to wash them in the regular dishwasher.

We purchased a set of these plates for a condo unit we are furnishing. They are really quite nice and exceeded my expectations. They have a bit of an "hombre" coloration fade to them which is the effect that I was going for so we could not be happier. The bowls are large enough to accommodate soup or salad - or a hearty cereal eater! We also purchased the chili set with tureen and bowls.

I bought this set of dishes at *****. I have had them for over 2 years now. They have really held up -- heavy duty. I chipped one plate and broke one cup -- both accidents on my part. The dinner plates are really big - great for Thanksgiving dinner, and the bowls are oversized too. They are dishwasher safe and I would definitely recommend these dishes -- especially for those with a hearty appetite.

Don't break or chip easily. Nice and heavy and look great.

I'm crazy about this dinnerware set for my own home. It looks good, and has a sort of roughed-up ring around the bottom to prevent the dishes from sliding on the table. Probably not good if you like eating directly on a really nice surface, but if you use tablecloths or placemats, that extra bit of friction makes all the difference. It's very presentable but not pretentious, it has style without being distracting, and it feels like quality in your hands.

My husband and I have been looking for dishes for our kitchen for a long time and could never find something we both agree on. Our kitchen is mostly black, white and grey. These dishes work beautifully with our kitchen decor. I bought two sets along with the completer set and I am very happy with them. I have glass doors on half of my cabinets and they look wonderful enough to display daily, I am buying the soup dishes today that match and can't wait to get them. Only problem was that I thought I had found something different than most dishes you see in the stores but I saw them in xxxx the other day, oh well, I still like them.

These dishes exceeded all expectations -- they are wonderful for family casual dining, and will set a beautiful table for a more formal dinner. Plates and bowls are a nice size for dinner or lunch, and the shape of the mugs is lovely.

This was exactly what I needed. I was looking for something rustic but I like modern. These dishes are both. Great price.

I loved the way this product looked online, and it looks even better in person. My mother came for dinner and talked about them so much that I think I'm going to buy her a set too. I was worried about it breaking in the dishwasher and microwave like the other reviews said, but I haven't had any problems with them at all. It looks great!

I received the order in a timely manner. I experienced difficulty when using a debit card not a credit card so I used the online chat helper service. The representative responded immediately and my issue was quickly resolved. The dishes themselves have a little less green around the rim than my original set which I regard more as a manufacturing glitch than a Overstock error.

I bought these as a gift for my niece. She loves them.

Handles break off mugs (be careful!), dishware gets spiderweb cracks when washed in dishwasher, plates shatter when used in microwave. A waste of money -- and dangerous!

I bought two sets of these dishes at **** and love them. I realized I needed more plates, but it was cheaper to buy another set rather than going through the replacement web site for just the dinner plates. Anyway, the color says Nova Black, but the plates have more green, with the blackish/brown rims. They match our kitchen granite...and they look great.
