washed great in the dishwasher so far - only had them a couple of weeks though. At this price, though, if I have to replace in a few years, no big deal.
I have been looking for a set of everyday dishes for 6 mo.s Knew what I did not want from years of experience. Looked at these in a store first then bought on overstock.com. These plates fit very nice in the dishwasher as you can get all 12 plates plus some in the bottem rack and they all get clean. The color is very true to the picture. Thanks overstock again for a great product.
I still get compliments on these dishes all the time and am really enjoying the set. It says they are microwave safe but I suggest you do NOT put them in the microwave. The first time I thought it was my fault because I melted cheese and I heard it crack when I took it out. Anyway I've just had my 3rd salad plate crack - this time heating up some already cooked vegetables. Enough is enough! no more microwaving if I want to retain the set. I did buy service for 12 as well as 2 packages of the square plates so I'm not worried about not having a full set. Note since it is hand-crafted there will be glazing variations. At first I thought I had received some 2nds but after researching it online found it to be typical.I searched for this pattern, not being able to find service for 12 locally, and then watched online prices.A couple of pieces came in broken in spite of it being fairly well packed and overstock customer service was great about it..I may consider buying more of the square plates as it nicely compliments the round plates.
If anyone wants very pretty dinnerware, I would recommand this set, they are beautiful. First I ordered the canister set and it was so pretty I just had to have the dishes!! I should get my icecream bowls any day. Thanks overstock!!!
