Overall I am very satisfied with this product. It's a nice-looking set that is sturdy and great for everyday use. When I unpacked the box, one of the smaller plates had been broken in the shipping process - not enough to worry about needing a replacement shipped, but enough that I'm glad I got the larger pack instead of just the 16 piece set - where if one breaks you've lost a bit more.

I actually like them better in person, the ring around the edge is more of a metallic gray, and is not quite as dark as it appears.

I have been very impressed with these dishes. They arrived quick and unbroken. The outer color is a beautiful metallic gray and the inside is a inviting cream color. They do show fingerprints but I really dont mind that. The dinner plates and salad plates are a good size and the icecream bowls are perfect for my children's cereal in the morning. We love the larger bowls for pasta and such. They are holding up well in the dishwasher and microwave. Over all I am very pleased with these dishes. They are beautiful and at a good price. What an amazing deal for what you get! I looked at similar sets at crate and barrel for SO much more.... The plates are a great size, and the two sizes of bowls are a great bonus. They look beautiful, and hold up well in the dishwasher and in the microwave. Yes, the fingerprint issue is true, but it does not bother us that much. It wipes off with a chamois, no problem!

The dark edge has an almost pewter color to it. I love the little bit of shine it brings a bit of fancy to every meal. I really love how sturdy the dishes feel and they stand up great to the dishwasher and microwave. So happy I purchased this set.

This is a great little set to jumpstart your kitchen. Plates are heavy and durable, mugs are wide enough that they are easy to clean, and dont get overly hot to the touch if you put them in the microwave (a problem with a lit of stoneware and ceramics). I have no compaints about this set, it was just what I needed for my new place.

I just bought a house and needed a dish set. I liked that this was 40 pieces. The sizes of the plates and bowls are great. The smaller bowl is good for cereal or icecream... everyday stuff. The bigger bowl is great if you want a big salad or pasta dish. The only complaint (and the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5) is that the metallic rim around the plates, and the outside of the smaller bowls, they get finger prints and water spots on them very easily. I dont have a dish washer, so everything gets hand washed and air dried-- and when I put the clean dishes away they are always spotted up.

Bachelor son needed dinnerware, and this set works great for him.

Color is a little different that pictured on the website..they are more a mottled dark grey/silver. Very pretty...and seem to be very sturdy.

I was really pleased with this purchase. I'd read all the reviews so was aware of the fingerprint issue- and yes, the dishes look a little smudged sometimes, but it doesn't bother me at all. I had done a lot of online shopping before finally ordering this site, and it was BY FAR the best value I found. the 40 piece set gives you a great variety in the size of dishes- dinner plates are a great size and I like the smaller and larger bowls depending on what we need to use them for. this is a great set- the dark exterior combined with the cream interior is a great contrast and looks great with our black granite counter tops and decor of our kitchen.

I was not thrilled with this product but kept it because of the weight of it to send it back was prohibitive.

Many pieces had marked imperfections in the finish. Within color bands appearance of "oily" spots. Color application ran over margains and appeared in cream colored areas. Very sensitive to heat.

They are BEAUTIFUL, and just what I was looking for!

I love the dish color and shape, The two size bowls are fantastic, but there are many flaws in the finish with lines around the dishes are not clear (part of different colors flow into other parts of the dishes). The smoky part of the dishes show finger prints that cannot be wiped off. The small bowls outside are smoky color and as soon as you touch them there are fingerprints that cannot be taken off. If I hadn't given away the box they came in, I would have returned.

Good buy. They are very good quality and are holding up well. Only think I didnt care for was the trim uses some sort of paint that holds fingerprint oils and smug marks, but its of little issue. The set is still very nice and I am happy with my purchase.
