Customer Reviews
I chose this comforter because it was the most expensive (and theoretically highest quality) down comforter available through this site. Unfortunately, it wasn't worth the money. It looked nice when we took it out of the package, but it was all downhill from there. We've had the comforter now for not quite a year. The half that lies toward the head of the bed is flat as can be -- basically two pieces of fabric with nothing inside. The half that lies toward the foot of the bed is where all the down appears to now live. We've tried flipping, fluffing, readjusting, you name it. Nothing works. Not work the money. Sorry.

I have been looking for this kind of comforter for some time now. If full price were paid for this comforter is would be $2,000.00. This comforter has some flaws which is why it's so low. The sewing doesn' t go all the way through as it should. This leaves the down to shift into different areas. You can always sew over the lines so it goes through right to prevent movement of down. When received it was packaged quite nice and you have a bag to place it when not in use. It doesn't have a lot of fullness and looks quite bumpy in areas. The down doesn't have any smell and it keeps you quite warm because of the area it comes from. To me this product from this manufacture would be rated second rated. You need to remember the orginal price and the price you get it at. First rated on the internet is $2000.00. So you deal with a few flaws that can be fixed by shifting the down and sewing it in place.I would give 4 stars. I live in Florida and it is nice year round.

The thickness of the comforter is thinish, you will need another comforter to keep warm all night.

We've had this only a month so it's hard to fully access. As this is the most expensive on Overstock, we expect something exceptional. The fabric is very nice, construction appears fine quality. Gold piping is a nice accent. Although this is said to be 700 weight, it doesnt feel thick, fluffy, or excessively warm. This is more a medium weight item suitable perhaps for not the harshest winter climate which may be fine if that is what u seek. You will not be overheated, just comfortable. I am told that because of the baffle construction it may be less puffy than some others as the down is distributed evenly in baffles. Although the fabric is German origin, the comforter appears to be assembled in California according to the label. It doesn't have a "Sanders of Germany" label that is visible., nor does it come in retail packaging. It is marked 75% goose down as are some of the others available here. In summary, I am reserving judgement until using it over the winter here in the Northeast.
