I was very pleased when these chairs arrived a week after I ordered them (I ordered 4 in total). They were exactly as described. Solid wood and already assembled (no tool box needed - what a relief!). The packaging was good and though there was a gash in the box, the chairs were unharmed. They are a distressed, light gray/blue color, with a seat in a lighter brown stain (I would call it a limed wood finish - kind of chalky). They are very "on trend". I use them in my breakfast room. Product arrived poorly packaged barely fitting 2 chairs in one box. The package arrived damaged. Besides both chairs being broken, the chairs seemed poorly made I would not recommend this product.

Love love love these chairs. One did arrive with bottom spindle popped out of hole, but just used wood glue and a heavy vice and fixed it myself. Did I say I LOVE these chairs. Highly recommend; just note color variation... these are a grayish based french blue; NOT light powder blue. High quality, excellent design element for cottage and/or country kitchen feel.

Talk about disappointment. I ordered the Provenical chairs and the Saffron pale blue dining table. The color was a little darker when in person which I was fine with. The items came badly damaged. The table had deep dents on the top and legs. The draws were busted up inside (there were 2 of them). The hardware was all over the box. The table was very easy to put together and was a nice solid piece. The chairs also came damaged. They seemed wobbly. I was so looking forward to this set but eventually had to return it. I could not deal with paying almost $*** for something that was ruined. You definitively need 4 chairs (they were already assembled) for the table (2 looked bare). It is a shame that they came like this but save yourself the headache & heartache. The only positive was the customer service rep that I spoke with when I called Overstock. She was very friendly & I did receive my refund back in a timely manner.
