This rug is absolutely gorgeous, true to the color pictured online, it's heavy and thick (9X12 is tough to move!), and I LOVE how the cream/off-white areas have a higher, softer pile than the yellow areas giving it texture and dimension. It's not the softest rug, but I it doesn't tear up my crawling child's knees either. However I do have a couple complaints regarding the quality. When the rug arrived, there was a snag in the yellow portion (about 2 inches of yarn pulled out). I would have complained or returned it, but the area it was located was going to be under the couch, so I let it slide. Plus, because the rug is gorgeous, I was super excited to get it in my room in time for relatives to visit on Thanksgiving. Within a day, there was another snag (probably from the dog's nails). This one I can't blame on the factory, but it's something to keep in mind if you have animals. We are now trying to keep snags out (though, with two small kids and a large dog, that's tough). Lastly, it sheds. A lot. We have vacuumed it (with our fabulous Shark Pro) and fill the canister EVERY TIME we go over it. No matter if it was just vacuumed or not. We've had it a couple weeks now, and the shedding has seemed to slow down, but it does make me worried about my crawling child (who puts everything in his mouth) and what he's eating/inhaling while crawling on it.
Because this is a wool rug, I expected it to be more of a dhurrie rug. I had been looking at west elm at a similar one but I needed a 9 by 12 and they don't carry them in the store, so, I would have to pay extra for the shipping. I decided it wasn't worth it. I found this rug and couldn't be happier. The white is kind of raised up from the yellow so it gives a nice depth to the room. Also, it is thick and lays on the floor nicely so I don't need to buy a rug pad. I definitely recommend this rug to anyone.
