You may have read other reviews about the same chair in a different color, and it seems most people are saying this chair is VERY petite. Almost more appropriate for a child's room than an adult living room...I wouldn't go that far, but what I do think is that the chair is too short. The actual proportions of the chair are nice, if you're looking for something for a smaller space, but the height of the chair seat from the floor is LOW, barely 16" from the ground. I was willing to invest a few extra dollars, so I went to the local hardware store and purchase unfinished furniture legs, that I felt were more appropriate for the chair. The chair comes with 4"l egs, I replaced them with 9" legs and the chair looks to me much better proportioned, without making it look like it's on stilts. I love the appearance of the chair now, and I like the nailhead trim. The quality of the leather is acceptable for the price, but I wouldn't say it's great. Overall, I'm pleased with the chair, after a few tweaks.
These chairs are fine, and they are beautiful in my room. I would describe these as "lady chairs" since they are a bit smaller than the oversized chairs in building lobbies of large city buildings, but not something a man could not use. The reason I rated these chairs as a four and comfort as average is because I prefer to SIT UP, and these chairs do lean back a bit. I have corrected mine with a small rectangular pillow.... which brings to mind that it would be lovely to have matching pillows to add to these chairs. Just a thought for Overstock sales folks!
