I purchased a total of 6 of these chairs about a year ago. I entertain often and use these chairs at least twice a day. They are an off-white / bone / ivory color - definitely not pure white. I was not looking for white, so it was great for me but I thought I'd let everyone out there know just in case. The leather has a slight sheen to it although the title says flat. Leather quality seems fair but it does scratch easy. I've already purchased a replacement pair because the seat got scratched by someone who was wearing cargo pants & the pants rivets stuck out a bit. The legs are wood stained in dark espresso/ java almost black color. Also, the buttons in the back tend to grab hair if you happen to have long-haired people using the chairs. The chairs have polished nickel nailhead trim along the bottom edge & sides of the chairs. And the best part - a nickel round HANDLE on the backs of the chair. The photos do not show this, but if you look at the other "Carrie" chairs in the different upholstery options on this site, it shows the handle. I admit that this was the reason why I bought these chairs - the handles are fabulous! A high end look at a great price - especially if you happen to catch them on sale like I did. On the minus side: The nailhead trim is not great. They are a little crooked and somewhat unevenly spaced. It looks like the trim came in fixed rows (like ribbon) rather than applied one by one like quality pieces are done. Also, the chairs are a bit lightweight and seat pitch just a bit high for me, but then I'm somewhat petite at 5'3" so I may be in the minority in this. As far as quality, I would rate it similar to what you'd find at World Market, HomeGoods and stores of that nature. All in all, I give this chair 5 stars for style and 2 stars for quality. In other words: great looking, but lacking in substance. However, I do think these chairs will probably last as long as my infatuation I have with those handles!
